Version 1.0.30 works fine for me. According to the developer (quoting from his email of 11/9), "This should be a fairly solid stability upgrade and hopefully better in regards to access of the menus.  I have upgraded the version of SimConnect that is being used by utLive as well.  If this is properly working and not causing issues for you, let me know, I would like to get this out as the immediate replacement for our current release [i.e. version 1.0.23]. We will finish the new repaints and final user feature requests over the next week."

For those who are testing the internal beta, if you crash issues, try using the full install option rather than simple update. 

Hang tough, the end of the tunnel is in sight (I hope). BTW, Thomas has given permission to quote any of his emails in public!

Can any of the beta testers try applying repaints to version .23, extract repaints.xml out of UTL, reinstall it to version .30, overwrite the repaints.xml with the backup and check if it's going to keep the repaints or even ask Tom if this is going to be a problem? I've invested well over 10h to get everything up to the current fleet standards in version .23 and I probably shouldn't have. Thanks.

I know it's just another request but I'm really keen to know if the ability to exclude/limit traffic to/from airports has been fixed. In the current version the restrictions/excludes are faulty - I.e., you can limit traffic so ONLY traffic going to/from EGKK appears but NOT so that ONLY traffic going to/from EGKK is NOT displayed..

Does that make any sense? :)

Hi, I posted on their forums a while ago a request with the developer to please correct out of date flight plans...in South Africa, they still use FADN and FAJS (now FAOR and FALE) and therefore for us with up to date simulators, UT is fairly useless since no aircraft spawn at those locations...major airports here...hope this has been addressed...

First response from the Beta team:

You can do this but you need to use the other flag “Display all traffic except limits” then add EGKK and make sure you tick the “use limits in P2D V 4 and user interface”.  If you forget to check that box you will not notice any change.

Thanks for the reply Simbol.

I spent hours playing around with it and couldn't get it to work as it's supposed to. Tried using both radio buttons but nil joy.  I discussed it over on the UT Forums with pictures here;

I'd love to be incorrect, but the advice received was that it was a bug yet to be fixed.

Most likely our BETA build (1.0.30) is working correctly as long as you follow the steps indicated above.

The aim is to release this build in 1 week if we don't find any more problems.

Q Does UTL come out of the box with this level of control. I just what a few AI at my airports and some to'ing and going with minimum performance hit. I don't need my sky full only a bubble on my route.

I like its does not take long to load like my old MT6 did. Are the liveries better than MT6 because some were good and some bad with MT6.

But performance is key for me. 

Also as a Tube flyer I have no need for GA or even military traffic.

Last Q. How does it work with PRO ATC?

UTLive has a number of control methods to limit traffic including the number of AI Aircraft you can populate, distance, altitude etc. The program gives you greater flexibility that what traffic limiter in FSUIPC.

The models and liveries (IMHO) are much better than MT6. That said, there are a number of liveries that are not included and you'll need to download and install them before assigning them to a UT flightplan.

Performance is fine with me. 

It works fine with Pro ATC. No issues I've encourtered at all.

Yes, it will control your AI amount based on multiple settings, the most important for your would be that it can measure your current FPS and drop or increase the level of AI depending of what FPS leves you desire, in my case I have this configured to unlimited because I am testing my AI lights performance hit, the result with my RIG is a huge amount of AI around EHAM / EDDF and I get a stable 40-60 FPS. However you can adjust this figure to your requirements I/E 30 FPS lock and ULT will stop injecting traffict if your FPS are below this figure.

Way better, although it also use some of the lates MT6a models which are currently license using royalties schemes, these are A380, CRJs and others. Loading times are fantastic with UTL.
