Looking forward to release... is the estimate still before Christmas? We are actively trying to get it ready, but believe it will be released next week as with Christmas fast approaching it would had to get all vendors on line in time. Has that been addressed? thanks mike That is the beauty of these new models we have made them more efficent so you should not experience huge issues. Plus we put a lot of time into what we call TRO (Texture Resolution Optimization) Engine http://rexskyforce.com/custom.html . We look at key components of a users system and try to recommed the best setup. Reed StoughManaging PartnerREX SIMULATIONS website: www.rexsimulations.comsupport: www.rexaxis.com
December 21, 20178 yr Commercial Member Another feature I forgot was Sky Force integrates nicely with PTA. Just some amazing results with the Sky Force presets. On the interface of Sky Force you can see a nice video showing the effect that specific preset creates. Very simple to use. "The PTA preset still needs to be enacted within the PTA tool to become active in Prepar3D." do you mean that the preset must be loaded in the PTA GUI before you select it in the skyforce interface?

Hi Reed, sure In relation to Sky Force you said 'The majority of the features will work just fine.' when used in conjunction with other weather add-ons. Which are the features which will not work?

ASCA is only textures, It's AS2016 which changes the (ASCA) textures dynamically. December 21, 20178 yr 6 minutes ago, DJJose said: ASCA changes sky textures dynamically. Will REX Skyforce have this feature? It would be a pretty pointless exercise to spend 2/3 years creating a cloud structure/texture utility which considerably expands cloud variants and types and allows for all kinds of weather, without also having the capability to dynamically change cloud types/sky tex on the fly. I certainly hope that is the case when coupled with their weather engine. That's why I've asked the question about what is excluded if you use the AS16 weather engine
December 21, 20178 yr It would be. ASCA dynamically changes both textures and clouds and integrates seamlessly with AP4. I hope for the same or better with Syforce. MSFS
December 21, 20178 yr Does this link answer the question? http://rexskyforce.com/weather.html And given that Reed says its been tested with other wx engines, this would include AS16. So somehow someway the dynamic process continues via compatibility means. Therefore keeps it compatible with PMDG wx radar. Thats the way im understanding it. On another note, is there no new video other than the one thats 1 year old? Beta testers must have some and NDA lifted by now? December 21, 20178 yr So let's say I use SkyForce with the AS4 WX engine (because I need working WX radar on the NGX and FSLabs A320.) Will the thunderstorms still build up to 70,000 feet since we can still use the SkyForce cloud models? And I am guessing that since the radar is still controlled by AS4 that the cloud models producing precipitation won't match up exactly with radar returns. Is that the case?
