What to Expect in 2018 for P3D

We all expected some delay as LM moved things over to the 64 Bit version. Other than Tubeliners and Carenado's release of low end products, has anyone heard of expected releases in the GA line of aircraft being developed for 64bit. It seems like all the developers are working for X Plane these days? Any News?

That certainly isn’t the case, quite the contrary. Anyayws, A2A has 2(?) aircraft in the works nearing completion, Carenado have at least 2 in the works, don’t know about Alabeo or any of the others though.

There are plenty of new things coming up next year.

Pay attention to beta testers online, for example Aerosoft, Majestic Software, REX and Leonardo are all releasing new Airplanes next year.

If you follow @DaveCT2003 you can get updates regularly on new products and watch streaming videos when him and his team are beta testing new products.

Best Regards

Great News. So REX is going to make aircraft now? Wow! I did not know that Majestic or Leonardo were making GA planes now. That is more great news. So tell me where did you see that on line?? I would love to read about it.

To be fair, the title did read “what to expect in 2018 for P3D”.

Hello Sam,

Since you want some info on GA  new aircraft in 2018, may I recommend you follow this project .  I realize this is FIRST for 32 bit, but 64 bit should not be much later after initial release and it's not for XPlane

A timeline regarding Eaglesoft Generation Three Catalog of Corporate and General Aviation Projects for all three current 32 Bit Simulation Platforms is requested by flight simulation community members. Eaglesoft response is as follows. Generation Three Citation XLS+ w/full Collins Pro Line 21 Avionics Suite is slated to begin rigorous beta testing in December 2017 w/ Release to Market [RTM] set for early 2018. Generation Three Challenger 605 w//full Collins Pro Line 21 Avionics Suite will follow the Eaglesoft Development/Testing routine. We cannot make a projection for Challenger 605 [RTM] as there are too many variables. Generation Three Citation X w/full Honeywell Primus 2000 Avionics Suite will follow the Eaglesoft Development/Testing routine and [RTM] path as outlined for the Challenger 605. ALL Generation Three Projects will be considered as candidates for a 64 Bit P3DV4 Generation Four Catalog of products in development

Just Flight are making this Cessna 152, which if their PA-28s and TB10/20 etc are anything to go by, should be very good:

https://www.justflight.com/product/c152

Aeroplane Heaven are making this Stinson L5 Sentinel for Just Flight too, not strictly speaking a GA aeroplane, more of an historical warbird, but you could fly it GA for sure:

stinson_ext_l.jpg

Dunno if you'd exactly call it a GA aeroplane since it is one of the most expensive private jets you can buy and tends to be operated by governments rather than private individuals, but Flysimware are making a Dassault Falcon 50:

I hope they get their Worldwide Airports up and running before they worry about new products.

They have a team working on that as well.  But it's thousands upon thousands of textures, so this takes quite a while to do.

I agree but REX is notoriously slow with updates.
