fs labs a320 or maddog?

Featured Replies

I would like your opinion please. I have about $200 to burn and am looking for a new plane. Are those 2 the best options and which one? I already have all of PMDG, Q400.

Thanks

It depends what your criteria for comparison is. If you're looking at the comparative problems with each one, then it's difficult to assess the Maddog as it isn't out yet. You'll need to stay tuned and pay attention to what the early adopters report. If you're looking more at what kind of flight experience is provided by one over the other then I'd say the Maddog will keep you busier as the Airbus does a lot for you under the bonnet. For me, the Airbus cockpit is beautiful in the way that it's uncluttered and elegant, and the Maddog is equally beautiful in that it's the exact opposite.

I'm having a blast at the moment with the FSX FSL Airbus, but I will be picking up the Maddog for P3Dv4 further down the line, as I do have a soft spot for the MD80, but  I don't need to make my backlog of big iron even longer right now. And I prefer to let others suffer the teething troubles.

If you're a fan of really in-depth airliners, then you'll probably end up with both, so your question isn't so much which should l I get as which should I get first:smile:

Couldn`t agree more !

The Maddog was the most immersive Airliner experience I ever had in FSX, together with FS2Crew, and a big regret having lost it when moving from FSX to P3D. So glad to have it back in a few days.

FSLabs A320, it`s hard to find words. So much love to details, and the sound atmosphere deserves a flight simulation Oscar.

Definitely needs both !

2. FSLabs A3xx, P3Dv5. Gigabyte Aorus 17G YC, I7-10700K, RTX 3080

Thank you so much for all your great responses. I used to have the Maddog for FSX and loved it, so I will probably go fo it first. Now it is time to ugrade to P3 v4.2 and see how that goes. Is it correct that the Maddog will have a 4.2 version whereas for the 320 I first need to dl and install the 4.1 version and then upgrade to 4.2?

Thank's

all

my choice is always influenced by compatibility / other addons that compliment .....eg weather / remote apps / linda & fsuipc / topcat etc..

can't see much in either that suits my needs .. yet (& fsla320 continues to be recalcitrant in about most)

for now, cheers

That is indeed correct, it will work in 4.2 out of the box without issues.

Thanks John. Will go for it first.

I will buy the MadDog Tuesday for sure. I would love to know how to runs compared to the standard compair aircraft the PMDG NG. The NG and 777 have the same performance to me to the point there exactly the same FPS wise.

Maddog 100%. Not only the price but right now there are issues with the new version of the A320 not able to load. Too many quirks.
