Hey guys,

Back from a trip and had a little time to work on the AA MD....Here are 2 glam shots....more detail is being added and she should be a very detailed and accurate paint when I get her done.

Some of the added details are I've matched the metal color on the cockpit frame, adjusted the size of the OneWorld logo, finalized the door details (exactly like the real plane), fixed the AOA vane (no red circle), little yellow dot size and position adjusted.

Also added placards by the cargo doors that are from the actual aircraft and finalized the passenger window frames (that was a job I tell ya!)

No ETA but she gets closer with every never version. :)

Thanks for the comments guys!

Yeah Vic...they are disappearing from the skies at an alarming rate.  I live right in the approach corridor of KDFW....home of the AA MDs.  A few years back, every other plane flying overhead was an AA (or Delta) MD.  Now they are rare and they're noise in a decent is unique so you'd always know when one is flying over.  Don't hear them much anymore. :(

I'll make this paint in honor of her illustrious career.

Steve Dra

Thanks Paul, yeah the default rivet pattern looked a little goofy.

Nice looking paints!  Didn't know a Navy Aviation Electronics tech could handle a paint brush.  That's coming from another one. '68-'72.

Just going to run a Chromebook and not upgrade to a Windows computer. Too many problems with the new Sims! 😱
