Version 1.5.4.0 is V5 compatible. Just d/l'd it and seems to work fine.

Are you sure about that? When I start it with V5, it gives me a warning that it's only compatible with V4.

FFTF v1.5.4 is only for P3D v4.X builds. As listed on the FSPS product page.

My apologies -- it seemed to work fine yesterday but today I am also getting the V4 warning. Odd. Anyway -- will delete my above post.

Sorry!

Probably FSPS first wants to do some tests to see if the FFTF tweak works in V5 and if it is necessarily at all ...

it is needed. I have vsync and TB on in NCP and locked my frame rates at 33 inside the sim, but my sim is always running at 30fps.

Today I was approaching EGLL on the NGXu with TEGB South, Global and Europe LC, 60ai aircraft and my fps were between 24-25 at 1000ft. I went into setting and change the fps to unlimited (fftf 0.01) and boom! fps back again at 30. So it does affect and with the FFTF dynamic I wouldn’t need to go to seetings and change anything.

Is there any news from the developers about this? This radio silence is.... curious, to say the least!

Hi to all,

FFTF dynamic for V5 is almost ready. It will be a different product from FFTF version 4 for 2 reasons.

1.) Simconnect V5 uses net. 4.8 while V4 uses 4.6.1

2.) V5 is dx12

As we did some tests, it looks like DX12 does a pretty good job at frames. You are able to higher your settings and have good frames. At least at default airports. But if you enable the beta volumetric clouds things are starting to get difficult.

Anyway,

except code changes for the above reasons, also some changes from V4 to V5 will be the frame rates for 0..60 to 0..120 and FFTF range from 0.01....1 to 0.01 to 2

I hope tomorrow to enter the beta version and get ready for publish begging of next week.

Regards,

Achilles

Any chance you could take a look into the trojan in the files from this thread?

Hi,

You can be sure that all security software which implements application encryption, triggers false virus alarms, occasionally or often, there is simply no rule about this. We are part of the software protection community and we are able to see constant problems reported from other software protection providers to AV providers. Sometimes they respond, sometimes they do not, this is hurting everyone, us, our clients and end users and the source/solution for the problem are AV companies. If it is not a virus or any kind of malicious software it should not be treated as such. They are in the business of detection so they need to make their products accurate as possible which proved to be a big problem.

We assure all that there are no virus packed at our products. Until AV providers update their database, you may get false alerts. If anyone wants to test for a real virus can simply upload the file to

Kaspersky

https://scan.kaspersky.com/

or similar AV sites.

Achilles

...or use virustotal.com.

Achilles, the FSX-version of FFTF Dynamic used to switch the target frame rate to unlimited when the framerate went far down, which then brought back a few fps. For V4 it didn't do that anymore. Why is that so?

Hi,

Maybe you are reffering to FSX Fiber accelerator one?

In any case, if you set the lower FFTF value to 0.00 then it is like having the setting to unlimited frames. It is not recommended. You may get blurries. But you may use it at agl scenario with lower AGL height difference

Achilles

"Witch's brew, sold for cash". Harsh and not true.

For me, with a lower end (and older) system, I have used their products for several years and have never been disappointed.

It does what it says.

As they say in the advertising world, "your mileage may vary".

FTFF Dynamic is/was an excellent tool. I am sure that there will be a P3Dv5 version .....😉

Hi Achilles, have a follow-up. Per the GUI I can't set the lower value to 0.00, the lowest is 0.01. Any way to do that in a config file? Thanks
