I have very mixed feeling to Aerosoft .

Frank (Flyer024) I have the most respect i could have for someone I have never meet personally, He is trusting, totally trustworthy, kind, far more intelligent than me and he does the job I will always wish I had done.

The other end of the scale 

A Long way down......... is there Forums. Mr Kok thinks they self regulate, well the last post I made was of course was deleted within 2 mins, why, well he ofc told people to not make any more comments but what he faulted to do was after someone asked what the release date was and stated he read the sticky topic, he could not see a release date in that, because there was NOT one just a lot of dribble about it under "When", it was a few weeks after. he took 1 min of his time to add "When" 12th July, why was it not added when he know the date? then the guy would of seen it, BUT boy did the fans  have a field day on him pointing out he should have read through the pagers, why???? how did he know it was on any page he did what Tom tell's people to do on every page there is..to read the sticky. he got -48 votes. To make it even worse Mr Kok implied he had banned him from the forums!!!!(" Mr xxxx has now left the forums)Well played Aerosoft for making someone feel so welcome that was simply keen on knowing a release date and did just what he was supposed to do, he read the sticky. All he had to do was edit sticky to add 12th July. But no.....and boy did my reply get deleted fast for pointing that out.

So Aerosoft, a mixed bag of feelings that's really hard to come to a conclusion on, some good people, they can be very open, far more than any others and that's a huge plus, it really is and that side of Mr Kok I think is great for all of us., they publish some great products but a forum that your cannot use unless you want to agree and sing there praisers or be bashed to death, or just plain get deleted.  All in all for me there a good company with the most appallingly bad forum in our sim world.

Thank you for the kind words David. The AS forum is a mixed bag for sure and as a Mod there I will not make any off topic comments about it here.

The new AS A318-319 has an updater program now where you can get the latest updates for the bus. No need for downloading new installers, just run the updater. We just pushed an update, get it while it is hot...

Your more than welcome Frank. 

The updater is a great way to go, reinstalling is a pain in the butt even if it does not take that long really.

Personally I think your Bus will be worth a good look after SP1. Dare I say Aerosoft should have waited to SP1 level....well I can say it here hehe.

One of the main reasons for a release now is that we need a stable product on all computers for Connected Flight Deck to work. CFD will be a big thing and a gamechanger when it is available.

I recommend everybody who is unsure about the AS bus to wait till we have SP1 out. On the other hand you can also buy it now and play around and get the SP1 and 2 for free. We have a pretty stable and working version already.

It's a bummer because I was looking forward to shared flightdeck with my mate

Alas though The new fsl update from yesterday is a game changer for me. Big proformance upgrade it seems. God knows what they did but its smooth as hell on my rig anyways.

I don't know why people are disappointed that the CFD isn't operational yet. It has been known that it wouldn't be implemented until SP1 for a long time now. They didn't make any secret of it. In fact they said it many times.

This is true, but some of us have been following the AS bus project thread hourly/daily, so we knew what was happening in minute detail. Most people would not have read any of the updates so maybe bought it, thinking wrongly that it was 100% complete.

I agree lots will have not read the forums but.......To be fair to Aerosoft it's very clear on the product page.

Not all features will be completely ready at release. For a list of those, please see here: http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/topic/133133-whats-not-available-whats-wrong/. Connected Flight Deck v2 isn't part of this version and will be delivered with SP1!

It probably could not have been anymore clearer.

I get where you're coming from, but if someone is properly syced for a new product release, I would have thought they'd be following the previews a lot closer.

There is little that has come close to the immersion of sharing a virtual flightdeck with a friend when flying - the previous Aerosoft Airbus was my first experience at this which really was a game changer..  Really takes things to the next level - I'm looking forward the new implementation without Hamachi

As for their forums, I think as the flightsim community grows you're getting more people with GTA5 manners plunging into flightsim forums  - and let's face it, some of the flightsim crowd can be a pretty chaotic/acidic bunch when it comes to forums - you just have to watch Twitch streams and you can pick them out from the followers in the stream.  Although I don't agree with some of what has happened, I understand why it is happening.
