So it sounds like if I want to see pax loading at say UK2000's EGLL that I will need to follow this process for the jetway I am parked at and then select a glass style bridge.  Lot of work involved.

how  else  are  you  suppose  to  do it  since  there are lots  of   jetways  to choose  from,   think  I read  on the  fsdt  forum  where  you  can  do  multiply  gates  at the  same  time

GSX L2 does exactly what it said it was going to do and does it very well.  The passengers add significantly to an overall sense of a 'living world' which is exactly what we need more of.  Passengers aren't meant to be scrutinized in detail.  The peripheral sense of moving people in the jetway and on the stairs completes the scenario for me.  In my opinion, the pax have been modeled really well - with sufficient variety. I remember simming in 1998 and wondered at that stage whether  we would ever see  gates docking with moving passengers.  I knew it would eventually happen - just not when.  Well, 20 years later...here we are.

I just hope that in V2 of GSX the guys driving the loaders and trucks can be animated too - even minimally.  It's weird to see moving pax  but then very static models with frozen faces driving the trucks and carts.

Very impressed with the editor - spent most of yesterday editing gates.  Really useful

Well done FSDT.  This is the kind of innovation that the non-flying aspect of flightsim is desperately in need of.

you  don't  have  to  do  it  if  you  just  want  to use  the  uk2oo0   gates  than  thats  your  choice,   you  wont  see  the passengers  walking  thru  the  jetway  though

One thing I find surprising is the lack of community shared configuration files, considering the popularity of this addon.

Replacing the marshaler with a guidance system can greatly upgrade any given airport, especially with the marshaler stopping the aircraft invariably too short or too long.

This is even more surprising given very little,if any, skill is required to produce such files using the tools provided by the developer

Yep you are right. I read the manual yesterday and noticed i had never used the Marshal at all, by picking up a gate at arrival😉

There is many good options in the manual including those safedocks option . l will try that out in FT EKCH D6 to D10.

PS (do you know why hitting CTRL+F12 is the same as CTRL+SHFT+F12?) it does the exact same thing on my system.

Thanks

I think this is going to change with the appearance of the new jetway editor. I find customizing an airport quite fun and relaxing and for some, it might become a new hobby within the hobby, like those that do AI spotting instead of flying.

We are considering a more robust sharing system, possibly integrated within the product, to make it easier for users to find customizations, and more rewarding for makers to share their creations.

Umberto mentioned in the FSDT forum that the passengers used in GSX are licensed from a company that specializes in creating 3D animated people, so the same individuals can be seen in other software titles like train and bus simulators.
