If you don't care, don't comment let alone even look in the thread. As you said, Edited November 8, 20187 yr by charliearon I think we can do with out those 3 letters. I doubt he could have actually done himself!
November 8, 20187 yr What you really want is the one by Drzewiecki Design where they will have downtown Chicago, KORD and the other airports in the area much like Seattle X. The downtown area looks fairly nice and sort of realistic - https://www.facebook.com/DrzewieckiDesign/ (click on the picture and you should see an arrow to show more). I posted a question asking for any news and this is what fsdreamteam responded with when asked if 2018 is still accurate. “At this time, we cannot even explain why we cannot give any more news. It's nothing related to KORD V2 per se, which is still progressing well. Once we'll be able to explain why we cannot provide any updates, we'll provide those updates and everything will be more clear. For those that can't recognize it, this is code-talk for "we can't say anything because we're NDA restricted" Sounds to me like this one is planned to leverage new capabilities in P3D 4.4 or 5.0... November 8, 20187 yr Related to my earlier posts in this thread. I've had an offline discussion with Zimmerbz and cleared a few things. I lost my cool a bit, sorry about that. Jacek G. November 9, 20187 yr During the 2018 Las Vegas Expo Umberto said “October 2018 Release” ,, he showed me some details of the PBR (Physical Based Redering) that was amazing at ORD. He said that his programming using PBR would need to be “Down Converted” to work in P3Dv4.3; which is part of his coding. Now it’s November and if I were to guess, I would consider the near release of a P3D 4.4 and potential P3D 5.0 is having a major impact on FSDT KORD implementation. I would think that since Umberto does not have a very goood LM Crystall Ball and he is very motivated to realease a whole new suite of 64 bit P3D only Sceneries using P3D’s SDK based on PBR he’ll have be privy to how LM plans to move forward into the future of DX12, PBR, Ray Tracing etc. Waiting for KORD to be built out may not be as big as a concern as mentioned. Look at Imagine Sim KLGA. it’s based on an unbuilt LGA. Plans and drawing usually happen years before these large projects are started. I’m going to put down my Sim Scenery Conspirisy Crack Pipe now and fly to the amazing rendition of Boston or any of the other updated sceneries by Aerosoft & FlyTampa,,, Ego Bird AAL2 COO
November 10, 20187 yr Yep I saw that dreamteam post on their forum regarding the fact they can't give any updates and also assumed there were some legal issues behind it. I'm looking forward to it though. As far as the upcoming Drzewiecki Design version this also looks promising as one of the early screen snapshots showed the building I actually work at in downtown Chicago. And it's pretty spot-on. To model a city in that level of detail though....it's gonna take a while! Hope they include DuPage Airport in West Chicago- always surprised no scenery makers picked this one up over the years- its main runway is long enough to handle 737s, although I don't ever recall seeing one there. November 15, 20187 yr There is a private operator of a 737 at KDPA. Many gulfstreams and McDonalds has their corporate airplanes there, all Global Expresses. If you flown out of Midway you can see you don't need much runway at all to fly a 737 or 757!!! KDPA is a great airport, I use to flight instruct out of there. November 28, 20187 yr I have a feeling v4.4 is going to put a dent in FSDT's timeline for the release of O'hare. They're suppose to release a statement on this at some point. Jacek G. May 22, 20197 yr A new preview of KORD was released today. And it seems the new FSDT Chicago rendition is not that far away. "very close to release....." and "almost ok ...
