short anecdote that fits to this.. I live in southern Germany and we got pretty good beer here (IMHO :D). However in Facebook I found a motorcycle group, mainly driven by Austrians and in Germany we like to mock them (in a friendly way) about their beer and wine. In summer I did a 2000km bike tour across Austria and in Styria (federal state of Austria) I got to try a beer that I even liked more than what we have here.. Unfortunately I haven't found it in Germany yet and they don't really ship it. So now once in a while I need to tell my dad to bring me some beer when he's visiting his friend there xD Beer connecting people(s) 😄

I remember back in the 90's in Ireland there was no European beer. Bought a case of Warsteiner from Germany on the plane home. (probably can't do that now since 9/11).
