Top Gun 2 Maverick - Official Trailer

No way Jack Reacher could fit into a modern US fighter. This only goes to show that Tom Cruise is NOT Jack Reacher..... doesn't matter how much money he paid for the rights to the character.

My vote is put 50lbs on Negin and you have a plausible JR in the movies.

It is interesting to note that the first 'reviewer/commenter' made the comment about most of the flying scenes being CGI, but the second reviewer/commenter suggested that they were real scenes...

...and now this "behind the scenes" piece made it clear that they were in fact real flying scenes.

Including the F-14 and black jet at the end?? 😉

I suspect some of those scenes are composites in some fashion, so still actual flying shots, but not in one shot. As the one video points out, it's very unlikely the navy would allow the plane climbing vertically between the other two flying in formation, for example. Or it was some very creative work with perspectives.

This got me more excited that the main trailer! Shows a lot of the actual filming and pulling real G because you can't fake people's faces under load.

Must be the one Iranian Tomcat remaining flyable? 😄 And.. yes Aurora exists! So of course the authorities let Mr. Cruise et al film it and go for a ride in it..

“We’ve been saying hypersonics [are] two years away for the last 20 years, but all I can say is the technology is mature and we, along with DARPA and the services, are working hard to get that capability into the hands of our warfighters as soon as possible,” Lockheed Martin executive vice president and Skunk Works general manager Rob Weiss told Aviation Week.

My emphasis. How else would they have mature technology if there wasn't a M6.0 black triangle flying around over the States for a few years now? :ph34r:
