July 24, 20196 yr Our pet tortoise eats kale... Anyhow - I wonder why the F-14 was flying over the mountains at the end - I don't think that there are any flyable in the US inventory. Could that have been Maverick dreaming about the plane he missed - sorry Capt. you're just in the Hornet now... December 16, 20196 yr I was actually shocked in the first movie that a female teacher would actually abuse her position of authority to take advantage of a vulnerable naval aviator... But it looks like the girl in this one is a bit younger than Maverick. Nothing wrong with the curves on an F/A-18...
December 17, 20196 yr Author Moderator I started a topic about this a few months ago when the first trailer post and was excited about it. I don’t watch many movies in theaters anymore as many don’t excite me or seem of interest but I’m looking forward to this in June and in April, the last Daniel Craig 007 movie, No Time To Die. Those will most likely be my only two trips to the cinema in 2020. 😂😂 I’m still out on all the comic book based movies that have been flooding the market the past few years. December 17, 20196 yr Oh... OK you can merge this one into your original topic. There`s something to be said about aircraft porn. Boeing will be needing the PR and F/A 18s should look great on a big screen. 'Quite the marketing on the female 007 in NTD! I still daydream about Ursula Andres emerging from the ocean in her white bikini...
December 17, 20196 yr Looks like they recreated all of the dramatic scenes from the first Top Gun. I'm not wasting money on this one. December 17, 20196 yr In real life of course ‘Maverick’ would have left the Navy and moved on to enjoy flying ‘ a cargo plane full of rubber dog **** out of Hong Kong “ ........for $400,000 US a year tax free. Ironically that particular job originally implied to be the lowest of the low has now become one of the most lucrative and sought after. 787 captain. December 18, 20196 yr Commercial Member I watched this earlier today. I do like movers videos. I also watched this one and he gives a bit more detail and explanation so it is worth a look. In fact his channel has some good stuff on it. Both their views are the same. Both top guns are inaccurate in various ways mostly to make them more compelling viewing but are good entertainment. Now that was a great video to watch! Thanks for posting it here! On 7/19/2019 at 3:31 PM, odourboy said: You just had to post that didn't you!? I don't understand it either why posting this image while adding some "funny" comments to it was necessary. I mean come on chaps – making fun about some people's looks here on Avsim now? Regarding the movie itself – not sure, if TG 2 will be on my "must see list", but who knows, maybe for the sake of it. Enjoy flying and happy landings.
