That's really why I really dont even want to compare say fsx with addons, as that 3rd party addon is lipstick on a pig. Dang it looks good, but move, and textures drop, 5fps and stutters. Lol. The fsx base doesn't do the lipstick any good.

No matter how many beers I've had, that date is still ugly.

I wouldn't be so sure as I doubt at this point they would be selecting people to use offline mode. Besides that, there's the fact this area is full of clouds on Bing Maps and it's probably one of the regions the imagery is replaced by ground textures (built with Azure AI to be as accurate as possible to the imagery).

You may be right. We will see.

It looks good enought to me, also still alpha, they can improve from theree, but if they release the sim like that, I would be happy.

Indeed, still lightyears ahead of what we have now.

Actually, in my opinion, even the default scenery on the MSFS2020 is looking better than most payware I've seen for any current simulator. The only thing the A.I. still can't do a better job than the 3rd parties is with landmarks and airport terminals, the rest has been taken care very well.

We'll see what happens in February when they publish the airports discovery series.

Just please add some life to airports,  fsx and xplane there's nothing but crickets. Lol

Yeah, I would rather see service cars and people moving around the airports, with functional push-back vehicles than seeing super accurate terminals (I wouldn't complain if they can deliver super accurate terminals too LOL). All default and working like a charm, I don't want to buy (payware) or download (freeware) a buggy 3rd party add-on for that.

Or worse, one delevelopers fuel truck, driving through another developers pushback tug, while the marshaller walks through your nose wheel

OMG did you see the picture with the bird!!!! That thing is the size of a 747! Unacceptable! And the wing sweep is a little too forward...especially for this phase of flight. And that livery? ...pfft clearly generic. So disappointing. Deal breaker. 🙄

Where I live, people are complaining about the trees being ‘too big’ in front of their apartments blocking their view.
So it’s not just a MSFS issue.

I apologies! I did not  see the smiley face. That is the problem with those type smiley, they don't standout well enough!

It's worth noting that autogen does not equal offline - most of the planet will be autogen.

What offline mode lacks is primarily photo imagery, which has to be streamed due to the enormous storage requirements involved.
