What offline mode lacks is primarily photo imagery, which has to be streamed due to the enormous storage requirements involved. Or pre-download and cache an area. Which if fine for me as I dont care for long hauls Edited January 24, 20206 yr by Casualcas

It's actually awesome that you brought up perspective as that was really my point. It doesn't take much to change the perspective of a given shot, be it a screenshot or a photograph. Perspective changes everything...could be location, could be angle (or filed of view). Picking apart these screenshots is amusing, but largely fruitless. I'm personally not going to rush to judgement until I can see things in context. Hopefully that will be as part of one of the alphas or betas...or maybe just post release. Chris

The water in the sim shot looks like it’s from the Pacific Northwest around the San Juan’s or something. Way too dark and lifeless for a tropical region. As you said, maybe it is just time of day… But even then it still seems not quite right Edited January 24, 20206 yr by irrics

Either way I’m sure they still have a lot of work to do. It’s still Alpha
January 24, 20206 yr I think it's fun to watch how quickly and seamlessly we simmers "grow into" the new space created by MSFS. I am absolutely all for feedback and correcting errors, even small ones. But isn't it a little amusing how we dont skip a beat complaining about the slightly wrong hue of the BEAUTIFUL water in the new sim? Or how we dont see our favorite cloud type in the GORGEOUS new weather system? Or how that particular stand of trees isn't the right height, amongst the trillions of accurately placed trees in the sim world? Nothing wrong with pointing these things out, of course. All valid critiques, and I'm sure the team will act on the feedback. I guess I just remember living through FS4 where some airports were just lines on the ground, and FS5 where the clouds were literally rectangular legos in the sky. It makes me appreciate just how amazing the new sim is, and makes me a little less inclined to complain about some aspects of what we've seen. I also walked uphill both ways to school in the snow with hand me down shoes. Get off my lawn! Edited January 24, 20206 yr by Noodle
January 24, 20206 yr 'slightly wrong hue of the BEAUTIFUL water in the new sim' Not slightly wrong, this color of the water as pointed out does not belong in this region, not at all, even when cloudy. What I have seen in images and clips so far seemed to be correctly colored water for the region so I am sure they will correct this!
January 24, 20206 yr I really believe it is because of the dark clouds..I recall seen in the weather discovery series that clouds affect shadow on ground and water it very might be it..
January 24, 20206 yr If you're sure they're going to correct it, why point it out a second time? Like we didnt get it the first time? I mean I validated your critique in my previous post. Do you need someone to agree that the water is COMPLETELY wrong and that it just RUINS the sim? Ok. MSFS is ruined! Is that better?

This seems closer to real life - PS - Noodle, are you OK? Edited January 24, 20206 yr by GlideBy My brother has Coronavirus, confirmed by testing. On 3/26 he almost didn't survive the night. He had extreme trouble breathing and was given a steroid inhaler. He was very weak, had nausea, and other issues that aren't pleasant. As of this update he is feeling much better, and seems he will be fine. Stay safe out there. (Updated 4/6)

January 24, 20206 yr the water in this area is turchoise green blue with shadows beneath the ships. An airport as at Barth needs human intervention asap.
