Will we get P3d v4.6?

The last time I was able to "PR" P3D Beta videos was back in the days of V2 (2013) ..., add-on developers complained to LM about me, so V3 forward I was not permitted to show anything.  LM's policy remains this way today.

Names, names, names 😂 ! What a forward looking attitude they had then.

So LM made the choice to listen to them and not to you. What I like in the Asobo/MS is that they are giving the priority to their future customers.

The MSFS boys are just everywhere ... even in a P3D thread.

How dare we ?

It is not like we were simming with P3D right now and with FSX before and with FS9 before and with FS2K2 before and with Fly! before and with FlightUnlimited before and with FS 5 before, and with FS 4 before and with FS 3 before and with FS 2 before and with FS 1 before.

What a cheek we have !

The thing is, new sims come and go, any simmer would be a fool if they just stuck with their old sim, when far superior flight simulators have superseded old tech.

I guess I'm a FOOL 'cus I don't plan on upgrading hardware, system, addons, etc. After 30+ years I've been there, done that with every sim that @domkle mentioned above. I'm perfectly content where I'm at. And I do have a life outside of simming.

Of course your not a fool you still have one of the most advanced sims you can buy, along with Xplane11. I was more talking about people who have stuck with generations old flight sims like FS95 when they could afford the new hardware and newer flight sims available. It's just like no one uses Windows 95 for obvious reasons, Software technology improves as time passes by.

I agree with above post. Nobody has to switch to a novel sim, that is entirely up to each simmer. But sadly, many of those not willing to upgrade/switch are the same guys then constantly complaining that 3rd party addon devs stop developing for the "old" one and this is sometimes really annoying...

It makes me laugh every time I see someone saying something to the effect of "Well I think I'm going to take a wait-and-see approach, this happens every time a new sim has been released." Have you seen the hundreds of videos/screenshots/developer updates out there??? Do you really think Microsoft/Asobo would release all of that then lay a big word not allowed at launch? Here's what I think...every one of you will uninstall P3D/Xplane the first time you fly in that sim. Say what you want now. As soon as a halfway-decent PMDG bird gets released for MSFS...it's game over. I'd even fly a default airplane in that sim. This is easily going to be the biggest leap forward since I've been simming going back to FS98. And for the record...I am still flying P3D happily and buying new addons that are coming out. I'm not acting like time stops until the new sim is released. But let's be real people.

Just bought the update from Justsim Brussels that has been released today.

In December I bought TE GB Central + North.

And I probably will buy Justim Basel too as it is on sale ..

I leave discussing to everyone who likes it and in the meantime I am enjoying making flights 3-4 times a week.

I recently got more ORBX and a MilViz King Air. Happy flying and clear sky's.

Steve Waite: Engineer at codelegend.com

I bought some ORBXs and the A2A Piper Cub. More, if P3Dv5 is released, depending on the progress of this new version, I will buy it.

I doubt it.   It would have to have everything I use right now in P3D.

Even with a new engine : don’t expect miracles like flying a big jet + heavy scenery = great FPS

An addon ac like the PMDG/FsLabd ones still use a lot of resources ...

Add a very detailed airport like Heathrow with high settings + rainy weather and then we will see how smooth it runs...

For me taking the plunge is WidevieW being  MSFS compatible + multiple airport Addons. And by that I mean at least 10 that I want to fly to/from.

Akready I use or scenery only + custom AG . Already I have at least 30 addon airports to choose from. Already I have live AI traffic (PSXT) and beautiful ac nightlighting (FsReborn Pro). Already I have a weather engine that is able to sync weather/clouds over networked view pc’s (FSGRW)....

Only the clouds and their lighting looks better...

So I will switch and even purchase MSFS at release but won’t be flying a lot till it shows/supports what I want ..

I don't think there is anyone looking forward to the release of MSFS more then myself, however I can 100% say that P3D and Xplane will still be installed on my SSD's when MSFS is finally released.

Huh???  I wasn't asking for anything so who would be listening?

They are?  Have you interacted directly with any Asobo/MS developer?  As before, you feel it's not important for MS/Asobo developers to interact with "future customers" ... and this is "giving priority"?

You just keep repeating the same thing over and over and over ... are you hoping if you provide enough false information or speculation it will transform into fact rather than fiction?   Even in the Navigraph survey thread the facts of 56% MFS platform switch suddenly got twisted into 90% several posts later ... there is "enthusiasm", there is "speculation", and of course there is just plain simple BS.  BS doesn't make for a future nor does it make a better flight simulator.

Cheers, Rob.

One correction of your weird rant. I have never posted anything about the 56%/90%.Easy to check, just going to the thread does that. Who is telling BS ? You.

My only contribution there was to say, politely, that you were mistaken in saying that a 240 USD median budget was « sadly depressing ». Which is wrong as 240 dollars buy you a lot of aircraft/sceneries. And I would add uncalled for the financially strapped folks.
