October 23, 200619 yr Hello,I have two working - what I did was:1: create a new temp folder2. Install the addon to the TEMP folder3. Move the items in the temp folder (All of them) to the proper folders in FSX. When I am done, there is no data in the TEMP folder. My installs - the 182Q mainly - works great in FSXCheersRon Sagel

October 27, 200619 yr How did you manage that? I got a warning saying it couldn't find Flight Simulator? Dave Taylor
October 27, 200619 yr Actually you have an interim/prerelease Liberty XL2 FSX model that went to the wrong spot and is no longer available....if you notice it has a number of "broken" issues. All of those are fixed in the Release Liberty XL2 FSX model:-)
October 27, 200619 yr I can confirm that the FS9 version of Liberty XL2 does not port over to FSX well... I tried before the Eaglesoft update was released. The VC didn't show, many of the animated parts didn't show on the exterior. If someone had a version that did port over it probably was this interim/prerelease version Ron mentioned. In the fog of late night development a pre beta version got shuffled as an FS9 zip and a few downloaded it before it was corrected. What they have is a buggy version with a known list of "broken" items and must purchase if they wish to have a working FSX Version.:-)
October 27, 200619 yr FSD C115 looks and flew well in FSX. System: Rysen 7-9700X, MSI Pro X870-P WiFi AM5 Motherboard, Team T-Force Delta 64 GB DDR5 6000 Mhz, Corsair RM1000x80 PLUS Gold, Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4070 Super Windforce 12GB OC, NVIDIA Drivers 610.47, 2TB WD Blue SN580 NVMe m.2 SSD for Windows 11 Home, 2TB WD Black SN850X NVMe m2 SSD for MSFS & Steam, LG 27GX700A-B 280 Hz OLED 27" 2560x1440 280Hz Monitor, Thrustmaster Airbus flight stick, Logitech M510 wireless Mouse.
October 29, 200619 yr I have the FSD Cessna O-2 imported. however, there's some editing required. If you go into regedit, you have to rename Flight Simulator10.0 to 9.0HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMICROSOFTMICROSOFT GAMESFLIGHT SIMULATOR10.0rename 10.0 to 9.0install packagename it back to 10.0This puts it in Flight Simulator Xaircraft. So you either move it to SimObjectsairplanes or add that directory to FSX.cfg[Main]SimObjectPaths.6=Aircraft I found the only problem with the import is the panel switching by its icons don't quite work like they should. So I removed em, and installed some default ones. Unfortunately I had to create one to make the panel work like it did in FS9. I had to add in zorder= entries and rearrange the windows a bit. I can't say how to do that part, as different FSD aircraft will be different. But if you have the O-2 I could send you the files. I haven't tried the Load Manager, it didn't work right on my machine for some reason, so you'll have to check it on your system, or do what I do and edit the aircraft.cfg [email protected]
October 30, 200619 yr Does anyone know if current PMDG 737NG and 747 works in FSX or if there is going to be a update for such. Besides them, I want to know if CLS A340-600, FeelThere 737Pic and Erj145, FlySeattle, FlyVienna, FlySanFrancisco, Eaglesoft CitationX, LevelD 767 and others work.No offense to the poster but you can try or test them as well as the next guy. Many times its a trial and error endeavor. The good news is that the Eaglesoft CitationX works fine for me.You do have to have a good working knowledge of the FSX file structure(s) and naming conventions.Craig
October 30, 200619 yr "Eaglesoft CitationX works fine for me."No side windows though right :-hmmm You'll find a few other issues over time.
October 30, 200619 yr I have windows on the starboard side but not the port. I took a flight of approx. 1 1/2 hours with it yesterday and put it thru its paces and found no other problems yet. Would you be kind enough to enlighten us all what other issues might be encountered? Perhaps other readers may have some type of fix. Thanks, Craig
October 30, 200619 yr To quote you..."No offense to the poster but you can try or test them as well as the next guy." Eaglesoft has been totally rebuilding the Cessna Citation X in 3D Studio Max for months and the Avionics are being totally rebuilt in GDI+ with an eye to the future...The current FS9 CX will be replaced by the new Cessna Citation X for FS9 and FSX. More on that when we have more to say.:-)

After installation a new AIRCRAFT folder will be created within FSX so you'll need to add the following line to FSX.cfg under the section User Objects=Airplane, Helicopter:SimObjectPaths.6=Aircraft Your path number might be higher if you've already added another folder like AI_Aircraft.So far I haven't discovered any problems or anomalies...both planes look and fly just like they did in FS9..in fact they look better! Also the Load Manager is working and I was able to install new textures or make any other changes using this utility.
