October 21, 200619 yr The Carenado 206 seems to work great in FSX. :)I copied the Carenado files over manaully though. I didn't use the installer with FSX. Ark -------------------------- I9 9900K @ 5ghz / 32GB G.Skill (Samsung B) / Aorus Master Mobo / EVGA GTX 2080Ti FTW 3
October 21, 200619 yr PJ,Although I have moved across several aircraft - I couldn't get the RAS Spit fully installed [this was in copying files across]. I have not been able to get FSX to "see" the textures that were originally in the main FS9 textures folder - so I have no VC panel detail and, for example, the pilots head is black in spot view [although the Spit flies fine].Grateful if you could point me in the right direction.John R
October 21, 200619 yr The textures are stored in the texture.xxx (xxx represents the variant of the aircraft) in the aircrafts folder. So, you need to move the texture files there, not the texture folder under the main fsx directory. This is true with all aircrafts, not just the spit.
October 21, 200619 yr Just tried MegaCity Atlanta, works well, cars and all.Jeff Jeff Commercial | Instrument | Multi-Engine Land AMD 5600X, RTX3070, 32MB RAM, 2TB SSD
October 21, 200619 yr all carenado crates work fine. one minor texture issue around the window flap on pilot's side in the pipers, but the cessnas are amazing (as they have always been)
October 21, 200619 yr BOPreySpot on - my favourite hands on flyer is back in the air.Everything seems to work except for the attitude indicator - the horizon bar is missing in FSX. Not important but odd as all the other controls/gauges seem ok???John R
October 21, 200619 yr Does anyone know if current PMDG 737NG and 747 works in FSX or if there is going to be a update for such. Besides them, I want to know if CLS A340-600, FeelThere 737Pic and Erj145, FlySeattle, FlyVienna, FlySanFrancisco, Eaglesoft CitationX, LevelD 767 and others work.
October 21, 200619 yr I have the CLS A300 and Aerosim DC10 and L1011 working. So far the problem with A300 is 2D - the texture color in side views is a little off. All guages appear to be working. The only problem so far with the Aerosims is the engine sound outside the cockpit is weak.Carl Carl PC AMD Ryzen R7-5700G (8-Core) processor), AMD Radeon RX 6600 Graphics 8GB/ 2TB HD + 500GB SSD, 16GB DDR4 3200MHz RAM, Win11 _____________________________________________________________________________________
October 21, 200619 yr I to have the carenado planes working except that when in VC mode you can not bring the gps etc. I press shift-3 for gps but it doesn't show any suggestions how to fix this would be great, it wants to show it but i see something black for a sec but nothing shows.
October 21, 200619 yr Hi could someone give details on how to move Carenado airplanes to FSX?I tried to do this but get errors when i try to load them.Thanks,Robin. Robin
October 21, 200619 yr I was wandering through my FSX.cfg file, just looking to see what had changed, when I came across these intriguing settings under the "DISPLAY" section:InfoBrakesEnable=TrueInfoParkingBrakesEnable=FalseInfoPauseEnable=TrueInfoSlewEnable=TrueInfoStallEnable=TrueInfoOverspeedEnable=TrueSure enough, they seem to control the on-screen brakes, parking brake, slew, etc. messages. I only tried out setting the brake messages to false, which removes the message entirely. I'm assuming the others work as well. It's a quick and painless alternative to ResHack if you just want to get rid of the messages altogether.
October 22, 200619 yr sorry, i'm really exhausted right now... if you search for recent posts from me you'll find one that gives some pointers

Besides them, I>want to know if CLS A340-600, FeelThere 737Pic and Erj145,>FlySeattle, FlyVienna, FlySanFrancisco, Eaglesoft CitationX,>LevelD 767 and others work.PMDG are working on upgrades for the 737 and 747, but have not said if this will be free. Apparently there is a lot of re-coding required to get these planes working in FSX.I have the 747, but I would hesitate to pay for an upgrade for FSX because I don't think I could push my rig to drive FSX and the PMDG 747 at the same time. I think I will keep FS9 for flying the big jets, and use FSX for low'n'slow VFR.
