AIG AIM OCI v0.9.3.13 in Prepar3D v5

Featured Replies

I have downloaded the latest version and know that v5 official is still a WIP, however a few ppl posted that it's mostly working, just only some of the pbr or lighting doesn't work at night which is okay by me. I would like to at least try it out while I wait for the official v5 version to be out.

I am currently installing the online flight-plans, I have selected them all via checking 'multiselection' and then hitting the OCI-Bulk button and its doing its thing. Does anyone know how much space the complete package takes up?

Lastly, I'm concerned about updates. Will I have to redownload all the flightplans, textures, sound files, etc that are newer than what I currently have installed or will AIG AIM OCI take care of that for me? I would hate to download all this all over again because the complete package takes quite awhile to download.

I have set min traffic to 1% and max to 50% like how it recommends in the tutorial. If I were to change these settings, do I need to redownload all the flightplans again?

I am new to using AIG I am using 10% to 100%
so if I use 1% to 50% and set to 100% in sim

that gives me only 50% of the aircraft ?

Sorry if  it’s a stupid question.

thanks

I use 1% to 100% in AIG settings BEFORE I install flight plans. I set P3D to 100% airliners and use FSUIPC to limit the traffic according to PC capability and personal preference. FSUIPC 6 is what you want for P3Dv5 and it’s backwards compatible with v4. If you don’t have FSUIPC buy the full version it’s worth it and helps the developer who has been great for our hobby for years.

Good Luck

How do you guys get the AI planes to show up in the sim in P3D v5 after downloading and installing the flight plans?

I don't think AIG will offer you any support when using their product in a non-compatible simulator. I see you already have concerns. Rather just wait for the official installer. Regards.

I didn't touch the AIG AI Mangaer and won't do it until v5 is officially supported. But if you want to see your  ai traffic in v5, simply copy your already existing add-on.xml containing folder into the P3Dv5 add-ons folder. Don't touch anything else. Be aware, loading times will rise tremendously.

As I recall that is when the percentages are applied to that airlines flight plans but I could be wrong on that part it’s been awhile.

PS I haven’t installed anything in P3Dv5 yet I’m waiting on Kaiii the developer to make his changes before I move or reinstall my stuff into v5. However v4.5 works great and FSUIPC allows you great flexibility to set traffic parameters.

Waiting on Kaiii the developer to make the changes before doing anything with P3Dv5 I only use AIG in P3Dv4.5 currently. I think the v5 fixes are coming soon.

How does one do this?

It's under Settings and Flightplans. You want to have this set preferably when you first start adding traffic.
