July 2, 20205 yr Please don't use FS20, the name of a Farming Sim, in the same sentence as Microsoft Flight Simulator (MSFS) Robin "Onward & Upward" ... To the Stars, & Beyond...

My understanding is that streaming will alleviate some of the pressure off the hardware. The streaming only concerns the online scenery pool. All of the rendering is entirely done by the user's computer.

Rendering and storage if you use the cache mode. I suspect that a 500 GB at least dedicated SSD will be helpful to give some meaning to the use of the cache. July 2, 20205 yr I was not aware of the existence of a farming simulator. But since some are offended by being associated with farmers, I will not use the more abbreviated term. I think all, if not most of you, knew what I was referring to. I stopped posting many years ago in this forum because there’s always a contrarian seeking a conflict, and looking for ways to embarrass others. For the record, I don’t mind farmers.

The forum has a great tool, Huascar, you can tag anybody you want as an « ignored user ». The forum will then hide him from you. Don’t let this word not allowed push you away. It is a great forum. July 2, 20205 yr No problem, Huascar, it's going to be a great sim, and I also appreciate the Farming community, but using correct terminology instead of odd abbreviations could be confusing, as already we have FS2020, MSFS2020, MSFS20, and a couple of others. Maybe standardize on MSFS or MFS could be better, as those are pretty close to the official name of the sim. (just saying!) Robin "Onward & Upward" ... To the Stars, & Beyond...
July 2, 20205 yr That’s an easy fix, guys. MSFS 2020 it is. I also find this forum extremely useful since my technical abilities are south of marginal. Separately, I came across below video of a guy who is running 3 55” inch 4K TVs on a graphics card. He has a very decent home cockpit. I guess that as long as the refresh rate is not greater than 60, you should be fine. Edited July 2, 20205 yr by Huascar

Now before we get a bunch of people bent out of shape I am joking.
July 2, 20205 yr Why not just use MSFS, that is what Asobo and Microsoft do. 🙂 Greetings Kurt MSFS, X-Plane 12 AMD Ryzen 9 3900x, 32Gb ram, RX 5700 XT 8Gb ram, 1TB SSD
July 2, 20205 yr I will apologize in advance, I just could resist this. I want the short name, "MsFS" if not, its a no buy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's great to be insane. Edited July 2, 20205 yr by jpc55 J. R.
July 2, 20205 yr New photo of a 3080Ti. But it`s not confirmed, so it could be not a real one. Looking forward to AMD and NVidias next generation cards, I hope they will come soon. https://www.guru3d.com/news-story/is-this-the-asus-geforce-rtx-3080-ti-rog-strix.html Edited July 2, 20205 yr by BigDee
July 3, 20205 yr I will be building a new PC when MSFS comes out, I'm still on the fence between 1440p & 4k, as in I'm not sure the difference in visuals is perceptible on a 32 inch monitor, at least not enough to justify the price to performance hit. Seems you could get 2 or 3 1440p monitors running at the same performance level as one 4k screen. I guess we'll find out soon enough, but I also want to future proof for VR when it releases. MSFS. UHD has a vertical res of 2160. That's 50% more than 1440. I have the BenQ PD3200U and it's a brilliant monitor and yes, the difference in sharpness is obvious. 2560*1440 = 3,686,400 pixels. Multiply by 3 = 11,059,200. 2 displays = 7,372,800. A single UHD display (3840*2160) = 8,294,400. So 2 1440p displays is (near enough) equivalent to a single UHD one. Ray (Cheshire, England). July 3, 20205 yr You may be able to get away with 4K as long as the refresh rate is not greater than 60. In the following video, there is a guy running 3 55” 4K TVs on one graphics card and performance does seem to be an issue.
