MSFS is a good ways off before release let alone addon devs having things ported over or brand new. I bet its 1-1.5 years away before we see PMDG etc in MSFS

That's why I decided to get v5 instead of waiting. Even if 2020 comes out in the next few months (doubtful), flying clunky default planes isn't very fun even if the scenery is breathtaking.

At this point this week is a fading chance. They switched from this week to upcoming hotfix in all of their responses. I think early to mid next week is more plausible now

As much as all of us would like to have the hot fix, I'd rather they take enough time to nail down as many reported bugs as possible, and to thoroughly test the fixes to insure that correcting a bug in one area doesn't induce one in another.

It appears that the developers were under pressure from higher-ups at LM to get V5 out the door, even though some of the developers and beta testers thought it needed more work. I wouldn't want them to repeat that mistake with the hot fix in response to pressure from end-users like us.

In particular, there are a couple of developers at LM who are very active on the LM forums who are working hard to correct graphics errors in terrain and airport scenery as reported by customers. the more of those corrections that make it into the hot fix, the better.

I'd urge anyone who has spotted errors in the scenery to report it in this ongoing thread at the P3D forums:

Agreed. I have been looking all over for errors as I cant actually fly with the wall issues. Hopefully people spot these and get them fixed.

Maybe the higher ups should concentrate on the bombs and missiles, and leave the flight simulation experts to P3D?

Did I just read right?  That people are flying around the virtual globe trying to find the  invisible walls?

And people are saying 'it's the best version ever'

I need a drink.

The invisible wall issue seems to be something that can happen almost anywhere - typically on final approach, but also when flying low over terrain.

The thread in the link is mainly for reporting errors in the scenery - missing or misplaced objects at airports, airports on plateaus or in craters, elevation issues with rivers, missing water bodies, spurious antennas etc.

Missing scenery or scenery anomalies around the world lol. Not invisible walls.

Can't wait to stop sharing the skies with cars and trucks at 30,000 feet.

There's an active highway with cars and trucks right through a taxiway at DFW. I narrowly missed getting hit by a tractor trailer doing 75 mph.

I am also waiting for that HF!!!2020-4-30_23-31-32-595.thumb.jpg.dd4c2ab6bfd180c63575b1242f5c3234.jpg

Seems to be all those saying it will be coming later than this week are probably right, LM has never released a hotfix or update on a Friday, only Monday thru Thursday and it’s almost 6pm EST in Orlando now. Have a good weekend and see you guys next week.
