Hopefully we see some addons the first full week of May start to come out. 9800x3d | 64GB DDR5 6000 Ram |MSI Gaming Trio OC 5090 @ 3.0GHZ | X870e Mag Tomahawk | 2x 2TB M.2 | Lian LI Dynamic XL ROG Case | Hotas Warthog Joystick and Throttle, Crosswind Rudder Pedals | Corsair Nightblade | K95 RGB| | LG 28" 4k, Dell 34" AW3420DW Ultrawide| Windows 10 Pro | MSFS2024 | Custom Water Loop |
April 22, 20206 yr Great news. I wonder how many of the things that will be fixed were known before release but had to be pushed to a hot fix to get the product out...could be that they had a head start on some items hence why it will be out so quick. Looking forward to seeing what the v5 experience is like after the hot fix! Hopefully active sky can get their stuff out along with PMDG etc and we can really see how V5 is. 9800x3d | 64GB DDR5 6000 Ram |MSI Gaming Trio OC 5090 @ 3.0GHZ | X870e Mag Tomahawk | 2x 2TB M.2 | Lian LI Dynamic XL ROG Case | Hotas Warthog Joystick and Throttle, Crosswind Rudder Pedals | Corsair Nightblade | K95 RGB| | LG 28" 4k, Dell 34" AW3420DW Ultrawide| Windows 10 Pro | MSFS2024 | Custom Water Loop |

April 22, 20206 yr Who are these beta testers that missed all of these things? Sounds almost as incompetent as the DCS beta testing closed circle jerks.
April 22, 20206 yr I uninstalled mine and put in for a refund. Just too old to go through all this hot fix, update, reinstalling all over again. I rather spend that time studying my high fidelity PMDG and Leonardo aircraft then struggling with building a new platform. My version 4.5 is at an advanced state of development thanks to many developers, looks great and performs fine. Vic green

I’ve already installed the VR hotfix, no dramas there. No reinstalling of anything required. Certainly not an issue worth abandoning the sim over. Rather than refunding - and there were so many talking about that here on the day of release! - y’all just need to be patient and wait a week while LM sorts this out for us. With a new DX12 engine, v5 is a massive leap forward. Official PMDG will be here for you soon enough, and I’m happily flying the NGXu in the sim right now. Don’t give up! P3D v5 is worth it, and the dev team at LM deserve our support of their efforts. LM did not give beta testers opportunity to review the release version and testers had also voiced objection to LM considering the number of issues in previous versions of the beta. LM obviously had internal release timeframes they needed to meet for whatever reason. This is not a beta tester issue Edited April 22, 20206 yr by ErichB

Have you ever been a beta tester? Beta testers don’t get to make the call on what gets fixed before a release. April 22, 20206 yr Thank you to all the early adopters who found and reported these issues, then all the smug individuals who need to tell us about them staying on the previous iteration, they get to have a better experience as well. Certainly not an issue worth abandoning the sim over. The VR hot fix was implemented with a single file, but since many of the current issues involve scenery, (“invisible walls” etc.), I suspect the upcoming hot fix may involve reinstalling client, content and scenery, not just applying a patch file or two.
