LM obviously had internal release timeframes they needed to meet for whatever reason. This is not a beta tester issue If that is correct, and I have no reason to doubt it, then it might be over optimistic to think this hotfix is going to make v5 come up to expectations. John B

Yes I have been a beta tester over the years so I hear ya. I should mention the release issues are not bothering me as I am confident they will be addressed in short order and, when you buy on release date, you takes your chances with software. Carry on, bro. Edited April 22, 20206 yr by Boomer
April 22, 20206 yr I wonder what would happen if stores around the globe sold a "new" product. Then customers found out that that product didn't work as advertised when they got the product home. Not had a glitch but straight up didn't work. Then when going back to the store and being face to face with an employee were told the manufacturer was working on a "fix" in a week or so. Pretty easy to say "we are working on it" when you don't have to look the customer in the eye. Snowfalcon13 KRTS Reno, NV. Did you also know, all those "new" products you buy are sometimes faulty or have a higher failure rate than expected. That's why they have an RMA department, you have returns, that's why they bring out updated iterations and versions of the same product, plus they use all the knowledge for their next product. It's the cycle of everything, nothing is perfect. I rather spend that time studying my high fidelity PMDG and Leonardo aircraft then struggling with building a new platform. My version 4.5 is at an advanced state of development thanks to many developers, looks great and performs fine. I just could never go back to that cartoon 4.5 after the gloriousness of P3D5. This version to me looks as real as it gets except for FS2020. It definitely has some issues for now that will need to be addressed but when all the sliders are maxed on a capable system it is amazingly beautiful and gives a fantastic frame rate compared to 4.5 at equivalent settings. To me all the other versions of P3D just seemed like FSX with a slick coat of paint on it. This one feels like a whole new sim to me from a graphical standpoint. I can't wait to see where this goes and without having to wait years for devs to make addons like what will most likely happen with FS2020. P3D5 with orbx and A2A is as real as it gets right now. April 22, 20206 yr I have kept V5 on my system as I, like many others have seen the improvement it will eventually be. My V4.5 is nice too, but I know V5 will be better still. I wish LM well for the fix and do sincerely hope it addresses some of the major show stoppers, although I have not seen the wall yet.
