I’ve been playing with the thought of a refund, but I’ve always found initial releases to be very interesting tweaking wise, and learning everything about the new platform pretty much in real time. I’d miss that if I asked for a refund. 

Plus, so far (minus vram issues) this sim looks and performs like no sim I’ve used in the past 30+ years.

I just wish ground textures and mesh were better without needing to purchase add-ons.

I can agree with this. I’ve spent more time just flying around and messing with things now before PMDG etc come out so that when they do I can just pop them in and fly.

i am having no problems at all and absolutely love V5! it runs amazing and i dont even have a high end system!

 

i never had vram issues as well! 

i strongly recommend not to get a refund, give V5 a second chance with maybe not all sliders to the right and /or wait for first fixes!

i am running orbx global base, lc europe and airports like ESSA, EGPH and LOWI with the PMDG 737 and never run out of memory so far! never went over 5ish GB!

it runs absolutely smooth and the graphics with all addons installed is out of this world, never enjoyed VFR so much in my whole life!

Grüße Saunameister. What settings are you using? In the QW787 at KORD or KMSP I immediately reach 5.9 of my RTX2080 (8gb) of 6.7. No settings I’ve tried really moved the needle much.

do you have the latest nvidia drivers installed? that really helped my vram usage! 

For those contemplating a refund, I learned 1st hand that you only get one refund per version.

It's hard for me to believe that you'd prefer CTDs over Seattle instead of a stable sim.

LM et al is going to fix this and it's going to work perfect. I know it.

I'm going to wait until next week for the  good (better) news. Refund isn't in the mix for me.

For whatever reason, that we may never know, LM chose this path. That decision is none of my business.

Being an inveterate LM supporter, with all of the great progress that they have provided us, I trust them and know they, along with all of our favorite developers, will come through.

I'm on the wait list and am OK with that.

I'm loving it so far. I only have 6GB of vram but I haven't seen it go over 4.1 out of 5.1 available. My only issue is I had the dreaded invisible wall of death while flying the RNAV 34R into KRNO today. Just past the FAF and bam I'm slammed into the ground. It was just a short flight to test stability as well as the RXP GTN750 so I got a little chuckle instead of being word not allowed off after a long haul.

I am the same no issues what so ever I have a 1070 ti card and only use up to 3.2 vram with most of my sliders maxed out will never go back to 4.5 👍

It is a better experience..  and I know now to avoid KSEA.. (for the moment)..

I ran into one at low level over Canyon Lake, just north of San Antonio, Texas.

I'm not sure if these are reproduce-able though.  Maybe they are.  I haven't re-flown the exact route to find out.
