The frustration is self generated.  It would have taken minutes online to see V5 had some release bugs.  If you get frustrated like this, why didn't you wait a few weeks for the first hit fixes to be released?

P3D V5 is a very nice advance..

I do appreciate that L-M has acknowledged and is working on the bugs. I am certain they will get the major show-stoppers addressed, and certainly when it works the software is impressive in terms of visual improvements and performance.

But in the past it has taken until vx.2 or x.3 for some features to be properly worked out, and for other features issues were never fully addressed until the following full version.  This is not a solid track record, and it is perfectly legitimate to express concern.

The most sophisticated software on the planet has bugs, why would you think P3D would be any different? ALL software will have V2, V3 etc.  If this is such a concern, you shouldn't buy software on release.  Wait for V3 and then buy.

I much prefer to use the new software with its advancements, rather than wait a year for bugs to be fixed, so I buy on release day in full knowledge bugs will surface.

Your expectations are flawed.

Maybe today we will see an update))

Yeah hopefully soon so we can end some speculation on what it will fix

Well we passed the usual time that hotfixes/updates drop for the day. Not too hopeful for this week.

haha an invisible coding wall would be too funny. I think if we don't get it by tomorrow evening then next week is the next best bet.

Active Sky with v5 support within 'days'. Seems to coincide with a few developers talking about not bringing support until HF1, plus A2A's windshield effects also v5 ready now and just waiting for the v5 installer, looks like HF1 will really bring the party.

For sure. I still hope its coming this week but understand if it gets pushed back to next week.

At this point this week is a fading chance. They switched from this week to upcoming hotfix in all of their responses. I think early to mid next week is more plausible now
