June 27, 20205 yr Why can't they make a FAQ to answer some of the speculations which pops up in this group, everytime there's a new update? Most recently,people have their opinions if Navblue and Meteoblue will be a subscribsion or an integrated "free" part of the sim. Also the Top questions on the Feedback snapshot, must be possible for them to answer now Instead of people guessing and almost fighting about who's wrong and who's right, at this stage of the development, they must be able to answer most if not all of the questions So, again, Ms /Asobo please make a FAQ (and no, I don't care about release date or pricing, that will be revealed when they're ready. Jorn Lundtoft I don't always stop and look at airplanes.........Oh wait, Yes I do. Intel I7-13700F, 32GB Fury DDR5 - 6000, Kingston 1TB NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD, Asus Geforce RTX 4070 TI 12GB, Kingston 2TB M2 NVMe SSD, Corsair 750W PCU, Windows 11
June 27, 20205 yr That fighting & guessing keeps people talking about the sim... 😉 Happy with MSFS 🙂 home simming evolved

As you point out your asking MS to respond to speculations. It would never end. Once the game is finished they most likely will have answers for someone before deciding to purchase the software. I think the Thursday updates have been plenty informative. If they did something like this I see nothing but problems. They will never please everyone. I think we all know plenty about this product, probably more than many other pre-release software products. It’s only a game after all.
June 27, 20205 yr Author I disagree, you may say we know a lot about it, and yes we do, but there's still things they haven't commented on. I'm especially interested in knowing IF the Navblue and Meteoblue will be a paid addon or not. Looking at their websites, they're both paid extras for pilots, so why would they give it out for "free" to Ms? Some thinks it's included for free and will be updated (for free) each,month and some (me included) think it will be a paid subscribsion (like Navigraph) By making a FAQ they could once and for all explain what we can expect. In due time you will know the answer. Why does it matter that you need to know before the game is released? Like I said previously we while know this eventually and be able to decide if we will purchase the game once it’s released.

While I agree that an FAQ would be nice to have, they probably have their reasons not to provide that yet. They might still be unsure about some things themselves and the ongoing discussions on the forum are a free user survey for them. 1 hour ago, jlund said: I'm especially interested in knowing IF the Navblue and Meteoblue will be a paid addon or not. Looking at their websites, they're both paid extras for pilots, so why would they give it out for "free" to Ms? Maybe because their representation in an MS / XBox flagship title is a valuable marketing promotion for them. And even if they do charge MS for it that does not necessarily mean MS will pass these costs to the users in the form of a subscription. And keep in mind that for MS we are talking about several millions of subscriptions for several years (corresponding to the number of MSFS licenses they will sell). MS can expect a significant quantity discount for that so the per unit cost will be marginal.
June 27, 20205 yr Author Even though their cost may be minimal, there's only the users to cover them. "Why does it matter that you need to know before the game is released?" Why not? I think it would be nice to know what we can expect is in the game, and what is addon purchases. It would also be nice to know what aircrafts are included. Yes, we have seen a lot, but ie. the Cessna business jet and the Icon A5, has been almost non existing to now. They could be part of a DLC,and have been a teaser of what to come. I know we can't change anything, but still it would be nice to know what's in the "box" at release. And there's really no need for MS to be so secretive, we'll buy it no matter what :--) Jorn Lundtoft I don't always stop and look at airplanes.........Oh wait, Yes I do. June 27, 20205 yr I don't think they can talk about the pricing model yet. It was said in an older interview that it will be finalised closer to the game's release, and while there was no plan for a subscription, things could change if Microsoft decide otherwise until then. I can agree with an updated FAQ in the website to make it easier for new users to find out what the new simulator is all about though.
June 27, 20205 yr I don't understand the impatience of so many. When the game is available we'll know. But before the release knowing the answers to these question won't help anyone with anything or change anything... what am I missing? Edited June 27, 20205 yr by Wanderkroete

What is missing is that things can and will change between now and release. 🙂 Larry Hookins Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of EarthAnd danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
June 27, 20205 yr Or people could just realize that they are not entitled to know everything when they want to, and at one point before release more informations will be released 😉 Chock 1.1: "The only thing that whines louder than a jet engine is a flight simmer."
June 27, 20205 yr A FAQ will probably will probably be released after the sim has being released. It seems to be forgotten that the sim is in Alpha, with another Alpha being released shortly. Being in Alpha, there are things that will be changed, so, having a FAQ at this stage is redundant. Patience you must have, my young padawan. Robin "Onward & Upward" ... To the Stars, & Beyond...
