Still Cheaper than PMDG planes

Then why start a thread with a 'baity' title to complain about the price of a product you have no use for/are not interested in? You can get the excellent iFly 737 or 747 which doesn't simulate failures and doesn't go into as much depth for less money, for example.

I said I used to owned two PMDG products back in 2012, but refused to pay again  for the exact same planes a second time.

If you read the forums, there are a lot of people out there, whom like me, refuse to pay out of principle. My comments were geared towards those people.

You seem offended and annoyed with my comments, and frankly, don’t really care. But because I am in a good mood, possible solutions for you - you have the options of  skipping  my posts or blocking me altogether.

And for the none-pilot critics, the sooner you accept that you are not, and never will be, airline  pilots, the better.  I find the the most staunch defenders of PMDG are those who have never set foot in a cockpit.

The core of this is that you'd actually like to use PMDG planes but are simply to stingy to spend the money.

If PMDG would offer their products in the $50 range as they used to in FSX days, you'd be buying them in a heartbeat.

MSFS2020 offers what I want. I would still pass on the offer.

Are you saying you like PMDG but wouldn't pay $50 for an MSFS version of their aircraft?

I bet he would pay a penny for it. Which means there is a price that he would be comfortable with above free. But he wont admit to anything truthfully now because he is trying to prove his point.

This whole post should have just gone like this, "I wish PMDG would port their planes to the new flight simulator for free or at most (whatever price he is comfortable with)"

In other words, "We've already established that.  Now we're just haggling over price." 🙂

Unfortunately, that's how things work these days. <sigh>

Yes, I may have paid a penny for it had MSFS 2020 not come out. But the chances of me paying a penny now are zero.

By the way, what has been very shocking about the string of comments above is your fanatic nature. That someone comments on the excessive prices of their products should not lead to passionate debates and insults.  It’s just a game, not a real plane! - and you’re just gamers, not pilots, get over it!

It takes a lot to make me cry - keep trying.

I wasn't trying to make you cry.

Personally, I want the option to pay a higher price for items of higher quality.  Because without that higher price the items wouldn't exist.  I want the option to re-purchase an item for a new platform, because unless the developer can recoup his cost to upgrade the item, he won't do it.

I'm not always looking for something for nothing.  I expect to pay for what I get.  If something is offered free, no problem.  I won't ever ask for it to be free.  If I feel something is too expensive, I don't buy it.  I don't complain about it. These are MY principles and I feel strongly about them.

Well, before this topic is closed, let me say this....  I agree PMDG makes great products, but so does other developers. However, PMDG went from $70.00 to a $100.00  Why?  Well, one thing they paid very close attention is people saying stuff such as:

"I'll pay anything for a PMDG a/c"
"I don't care what's the cost; here's my money"
"I'll pay whatever for a PMDG"

"Shut up and take my money"  (More a lot more nonsense)

So, Randarazo and his buddies were like: "Wait a minute.. we could charge 3 times more for this stuff, and get richer 3 times faster. Folks are saying they don't care how much it cost, they will pay for it. "

And, so PMDG went up in price in a beat. In fact, to the point of even charging almost full price for a P3D installer in it's beginnings. And, yes,  the better something is, it will cost more. But, to raise the price so high above everyone with the "story" that "there's no other quality as this" is pure "let's get rich faster." Why, well because there are other developers with even much, much more complex a/c such as the FSL A320 (perhaps 5x more complex in code and quality) , but refused to charge a huge price such s PMDG.

Because they bring the best simulation of some types of most wanted aircraft ever and because there are enough people, who wants it buy? They can sell their product for any price, what they want. And we are completely free to don't buy it, if price seems too high for us. Yes, it's so clearly easy 🙂

What ? FSL Airbus X  is at 140 USD same as the PMDG 747, the T7 is at 135 USD and the NGXu at 100 USD.

You think that is too expensive. Don’t buy them. Easy. They are not a compulsory buy to activate your sim. You can do without them.

BTW, whats wrong in willing to get rich by designing great products ?

Because they’re obsessed with their little planes. I have be making this point from the start.   In fact, they’re so blinded by their love for PMDG that any criticism of their products or business practices generate incredible passion on their part. Just read their reactions in the string of comments above. Someone went as far as to sending me a private message saying I was an embarrassment to the U.S Armed Forces - just for posting what I posted. I guess I may have commented I served in the U.S Marines in a previous post. The point is that I can only compare this to a cult or dogmatic culture. It is very strange, really.

I don't know if you're an embarrassment to the US Armed forces, but I just cannot believe you keep embarrassing yourself with every reply you make. Your skin must be U.S Armed Forces thick for sure.

Keep going because you would not make this stuff up...."cult or dogmatic culture"........lol.
