I am surprised they included a 787...it's not something that is in the Alpha (based on release notes). I am very excited by this even if it's just a representation of a simple autopilot + FMC I think it's enough to keep me going and get a lot of enjoyment out of it for a while.

I’m pretty sure that screenshot was part of their latest announcement...

I don't know if it's the camera but the nose looks weird. Looks like a WIP model to me, the engine blades are also missing

That's because they're spinning

Looks great to me! Definitely be trying a transatlantic run with it!

Also the light angle is not illuminating the insides of the engine nacelles.

You can still see them on A320 & 747 screenshots if you look close. But I think @n4gix is right it's because they are not illuminated.

I am really looking forward to flying this aircraft. It will be great to have a 747, A320, and 787 to choose from and eventually to have the option to purchase planes from top tier studios like Aerosoft and PMDG, who both are currently working with Asobo to craft products for the platform.

I am very curious about the quality of this particular plane in mfs. Its very different from the other boeings and have many special features that im not really expecting them to simulate.

Not even Quality Wings were able to create a PMDG like product... I don't have my hopes up 🙂

I would say the QW 787 would give a PMDG 787 some serious competition..it may not be good enough for an airline pilot to simulate advanced failures but for the average simmer I would say it's excellent.

The MSFS 787 will likely be a mid-tier product. It will certainly not be a top tier (PMDG-level) offering because this is a default plane within MSFS Premium Deluxe, but it should be a good mid-tier aircraft and will meet the needs and expectations of many people. Those, that want a top tier product would wait for a top tier studio to produce one and pay the money for it.
