I doubt this game will be as crappy as P3Dv5 is.

I have a RTX 2080 Ti and get VRAM issues with that pathetic excuse of a computer program.

needless to say OP I’d recommend a 2060 or a 2080 Super 8GB card will be fine.

Running V5 on high settings never had a VRAM issue.

How much is a 3080?

More than a current 2080 at these prices I would guess:

"Based on historical pricing, we don’t expect the GeForce RTX 3080 or its siblings to come cheap. The RTX 2080 Super currently carries an MSRP of $699, with the 2080 Ti going for around $1,199.00"

Which is entirely subjective.... Based on your add-ons it can be much higher and completely maxed in DX12!

Just saw a leak where the leaker mentioned he had an i7-7700, GTX 1080, 32GB Ram, and was getting Just short of 40fps over heavy Manhattan scenery.

Sorry but this is pure speculation. No official statement from AMD has confirmed any sort of pricing for their new cards.

I only have Orbx and a few add on airports, and aerosoft a319.

p3dv4 ran flawlessly , p3dv5 is a train wreck.

AMD doesn’t even make the cards I’m referencing!  I would hope they wouldn’t se the prices for the new Nvidia cards or I’m sure we’d be screwed!  Lol!

The video card will depend on resolution in use. For 4k suggest the GTX1080Ti or 2080Ti, 2k the AMD 5700XT or 1070Ti/2070Ti and HD AMD5600XT or 1060Ti/2060Ti

Still wondering if my GTX1070 will work at 4k with a new AMD 3900x processor plus a new B550 motherboard and 3600 speed 32Gb ddr4 ram?

Darryl

I run a 1070 with an i7 4770k and 16gb on high settings and get 35 fps and drops to about 20 in big cities like NYC and Chicago. This is also with 100 % live traffic

You got the point. Neither nvidia or AMD have announced anything. If you want to take the rumor mill all out it looks like big Navi will give nvidia a run for its money what effect do you think this will have on prices?

Is that running at 4K? Are graphics settings high with good detail, cloud formations, etc.?

I have a GTX 1070, i7-8700, 16GB DDR4, and 35Mbps broadband. I'm also happy running anything at 1080p for better performance.

I've pre-ordered the sim, and I haven't long built this PC. Obviously it won't run at the standard shown in preview videos (no ray tracing, for one), but it's good to get an impression of how it will appear on my hardware from someone involved in the alpha testing.

I could have written that word for word. I will wait for a 3080 as I want the VRAM and the performance even if I am on 1080. 10900@around 5 32RAM 3080. Will pull the trigger when the 3080 is available.

Going to sell my RTX 2080 (more then enough for MSFS2020) and going for the 3080 with 24 gb of vram 🙂

How do you even know it will come with 24gb vram? Nothing has been announced.
