Seriously whats wrong with the Airbuses Autopilot? That looks even more crappy than the Feelthere ones back in the days.

Well I would look more closely at the PIC, he clearly had no idea what he was doing.
MSFS looks so good 😊

Yeah his airmanship was hard to watch.

But there's something wrong with the autoflight uf the Airbus. That rolling left - rolling right is horrible.

The person in charge of programming these autopilot systems has clearly not the level of competence required. Programming autopilot is very different than scripting video games, you need to have knowledge in control theory and automation. A video game developer for example who is used to scripting quests or things like that in a RPG game will never handle this task very well. So I hope they'll hire a new guy for this and clearly specify on the job offer what competence is required.

Starting the engines on stand before the pushback. Ouch! Can't help cringing when I see that. 🙂 Pushback seems slow? Yeah that'd be because there are two engines thrusting against the pushback truck lol

He also had the Parking brake ON. The list could go on 🙂

I would recommend the MSFS Airbus full flight videos by Chewwy94 and Drawyah. Both are obviously experienced and competent sim pilots. In their demos, you get a better sense of what might be an aircraft bug vs. bad piloting.

Aye. Don't wanna get too picky but some of that stuff is pretty basic for someone with a flight sim channel on youtube that has been going for nearly ten years and has hundreds of thousands of subscribers.

As I say, I'm all for a bit of fun with flight sims, there's no need to be a nerd about them, but I'd kind of expect someone who's been doing it for that long and has that many people watching and looking for an informed opinion, to have a bit more of a clue.

Although Squirrel holds a UK PPL, the chap below seems more knowledgeable when it comes to the airliners, I agreed with a lot of the comments about the NEO being too fast. Also in some other videos I noticed a nauseating cyclical roll although I'm not sure if this is the aerodynamics causing it or the fly-by-wire overcorrecting and getting stuck in a feedback loop - hopefully this will get fixed quickly.

Thanks for the video.

Unfortunately, here we have yet another alpha/beta tester who 1)doesn't know proper procedures, and 2)doesn't know how to fly an airliner.

Hopefully there are enough competent beta testers who know what they're doing to compensate for this guy and a number of others I've seen so far.  We really need good quality, knowledgeable feedback from the beta testers

Why does the plane roll like a boat when flying straight?

I can’t zoom into the video or make out FMA’s on the videos (watching on my phone), but I’d suspect most of the speed issues and problems on takeoff are pilot induced rather than sim induced.

Too low a flex temp, lightweight, leaving the thrust levers in flex/mct which prevents the a/thr from doing its thing, under-rotating on take off, staying in SRS, high VS due a a Vnav mode with a huge (300kt - 220kt) speed change etc etc etc

The video isn’t at all a good indication of the capability of the autopilot

Relax, it's photage from a game...very unfair to lay judgment on a person after watching a video.  Apparantly he has passed  PPL exams, and is deemed qualified to fly a real plane as PIC with passengers.

So I think he knows quite much...just doesnt bother with SOPs and the educational angle. (I understand him.....)
