August 10, 20205 yr I haven’t seen anyone open a door or a window in the GA stuff yet. Is it possible? Edited August 10, 20205 yr by tommy10101
August 10, 20205 yr It'll be ready for sure till release day, maybe even the engine cowlings can be opened....

August 10, 20205 yr We don't know if it will be possible in the release version. Apparently it was possible at one point in the Alpha. Hook Larry Hookins Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of EarthAnd danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
August 10, 20205 yr Author Pretty sure you could open doors and windows in the default aircraft in FSX. I’ll be surprised if we can’t at release

August 16, 20205 yr Sorry if this has been covered but to those who have the release version are you able to open/close the aircraft doors? Very basic function, just asking. August 16, 20205 yr On your own? No. The doors of airliners do open though when you call catering trucks or airport gates. They’re just animation and not something user controlled. Yet.

August 16, 20205 yr It's coming, but not regarded as a priority fix. Just make a clicking noise to pretend you are unlatching it, if you are making an emergency landing. 🤣 Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
August 16, 20205 yr Author This is a basic feature that will improve immersion for a lot of people and needs to be included, even for default aircraft. You could open the doors and windows on default fsx a/c, would be an odd omission for me

After all if you were flying a real airplane you would never open or close the door, you just hop right thru the side of the plane. This has been tested by real pilots.😂 Sam Prepar3D V5.3/[email protected]/EVGA 3080 TI/1000W PSU/Windows 10/40" 4K Samsung@3840x2160/ASP3D/ASCA/ORBX/ ChasePlane/General Aviation/Honeycomb Alpha+Bravo/MFG Rudder Pedals/
August 16, 20205 yr In the most recent question & answer session that question came up, and the developers said that it hardly came up in the forums they read, so they aren't going to implement it. Although the A320's doors open for services.

Maybe those discussions got filtered out between the time they happened and the time the synopsis of the forum was delivered to the developers. We won't talk about the tree issue... 😄 Hook Larry Hookins Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of EarthAnd danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
