Try clicking on Downloads on the left..

Tried that.  'Install' flashes on the screen, then disappears. That was yesterday though... I should try again since I was having troubles with the whole store, as discussed.

Easiest way to update/download:

Go to your PC start/all apps thing bottom left of your screen, find the New MS Flight Sim icon, click it. A pop up appears saying you're too early, but there's a hyperlink text on that pop up message which says check the store, click that, Bob's yer uncle, browser opens and download begins.

"Bob's yer uncle" ... it's a Canadian saying, obviously a British saying if Chock has any input.... what about the Yanks? You folks have an Uncle Bob?

Allegedly the origin of the phrase is from the late 1800s when British Prime Minister Robert Gascoyne gave his nephew the cabinet position of Minister for Ireland. As in, if Bob's yer uncle, life is easy. Dunno if that's apocryphal or actually true, but that's what I heard.

Think the Yank version is 'in like Flynn' as in Errol Flynn getting away with dodgy stuff he would have gone to jail for had he not been famous.

Just got another update from the Microsoft Store

This one is 592.20 MB

Looks like things are getting ready. I am so excited!

Got it too, but wasn't thrilled by the speed it came down the pipe at. If that's the speed 129Gb of additional data is gonna arrive at, it's gonna be tedious. 🤣

Don't understand why they are preloading a gigabyte of data.

I downloaded the Xbox Pass version.

Less than 2 GB.

Why is this going to reduce stress on the systems when there's another 151 GB just for the Standard version ?

I can see it taking a week to download it. So release data will be pretty moot if you don't get to boot it up until the 25th.

Yes, “in like Flynn” would be the equivalent here, though that phrase has kind of faded away with time, as many in younger generations probably don’t even know who Errol Flynn was.

Some Americans are more familiar with British slang than you would think, as several British comedy shows have been quite popular here over the years - in particular, reruns of Monty Python, Blackadder, The Vicar of Dibley and others.

35Mb/s on my 38Mb/s connection. Much better than the last update!

Well, John Candy was, but it was set in Chicago. Maybe he was a Canadian uncle - long time since I saw it.
