CPU 100% all 4 cores

Noticed that my CPU is pegged at 100% across all four cores. Temps around 52C.  Others seeing the same?

BTW, is there an in game FPS display? I know I can use externals like Riva, etc.

What are your settings? It's odd. I noticed some of my friends are having their cpu pegged at 100% almost constantly. I'm using a 4790k and on high settings, it's about 60-90% consistently depending on location. For the FPS, I hear with developer mode enabled, you can find an FPS counter in the options.

Do you have hyper threading on Vic?  I had it off and was seeing constant 100% usage...turning on HT put an end to that (and made things smoother overall for me).

Nothing truly in-sim other than the Steam FPS overlay, windows key-g also works for FPS and other info.

Developer mode has FPS display. You can activeate it from the settings.

Setting in sim on 'Ultra' 60 fps: (see signature for system specs) If I drop 60 to 30 the GPU utilization drops to 40-50 range.

I wanted to pass my performance I'm seeing thus far with my system (see signature)

In sim settings are set to 'high' with TAA and both render scaling and level of detail at 200 (resolution at 1920x1080P) Flying 152 Aerobat

Resource manager on a nice flight around Seattle was showing CPU averaging 60-70 range and GPU 90-100 (mostly 90-95) on the ground that would drop to high 70 low 80 range. The sim runs very nicely. Using TrackIR5 Pro w/X56 HOTAS

Also did flight from RJNS Shizuoka...very similar results.

Also....

Brackett field towards downtown LA runs very nice!

CPU averaging 60 - 70 (mostly 60-65)

GPU 90-97

I suggest actual optimization by MSFT.

You know, there are other software that uses a lot of resources also?

I'm pretty sure Vic knows his stuff and also, I am 100% sure there was no optimization pre or post "beta" either.

Years of complaining when it didn't utilize hardware. Now it utilizes hardware and people still complain. They can never win 😆

Taxing CPU 100% on all 4 cores is not utilizing the hardware, lol
