August 20, 20205 yr Hey thanks for the look . Was there a reason you didn't do any daylight flying in the video ?.Perhaps that would have showed the cockpit detail a little better .Just saying

As I say, there'll be a better look at it in my proper review, this was just a quickie for anyone who was curious. It shows the sound, shows it gets okay frame rates, installs no problem etc. Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here

How did you get that? 4Gb stick plus 8Gb stick in two slots for 12Gb, followed by two 16Gb in the other two slots for 32Gb, which makes 44Gb in total. Which is weird I know and I probably will throw two more 16s in there instead at some point, but for the moment that's the way it is. Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here

Just gonna check on all that. Wait one. Not flown it enough to make a judgement on the nose-heaviness. I bounced it a bit on the landing so we'd hear the tire screech and landing sounds. I hope people don't think that's one of my typical real-life landings lol. Edited August 20, 20205 yr by Chock Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
August 20, 20205 yr Subscribed and liked, but I think your USP is your analysis and description. I'd really like to hear your thoughts as you fly. BTW, quickly watching the (really very interesting) video of the mig29 ejection, two thoughts came to mind: a) Oh, the picture in the avatar is Chock, not Matthew McConnaughey, and b) Didn't Chock used to be the lead singer / songwriter of New Model Army....? i910900k, RTX 3090, 32GB DDR4 RAM, AW3423DW, Ruddy girt big mug of Yorkshire Tea

It gets called a radar (erroneously), since some of it is data gathered from radars, but of course not an actual radar dish on the aeroplane, and in fact is probably better than a radar on a plane, since one of those can't see what's behind a heavy radar return. Whatever the technology behind it, it works well in the sim. Edited August 20, 20205 yr by Chock Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here

That is "nexard" option in GPS view. The difference in WX radar and wether feed is 15+ minute delay. So it's good to have but not as accurate. Chock you are correct that the 182 does not have an actual radar onboard. Could be ADSB or XM based radar in the 182, I also see that the shot is taken at ground level which would indicate that it's from an external source as you'd have a LOT of ground clutter. Normally the stuff I fly for real is lucky to have a working radio lol. Yeah, I know that delay on stuff on scopes in GA aeroplanes has been behind a few accidents where people didn't realise the delay and tried to skirt around where they thought the edge of a storm cell was.
