Carenado is the Vanguard of quality aircraft in MSFS. first shall be last, last shall be first, cats and dogs living together, etc... 😃 and all of a sudden Orbx can't do anything right... What a week! LOL. Thanks Can’t wait for what you post for the weekend recap. Edited August 20, 20205 yr by RamonB Ramón. Time, is the one thing no one can buy.
August 20, 20205 yr Chock, I wasn't going to buy this particular Carenado bird... but I did, thx for the report. did a quick circuit. Not really a fan of the sounds, but it flies nice.

Not really a fan of the sounds, but it flies nice. Wouldn't normally have bought it myself either, especially given the fact that there are a lot of fairly similar aeroplanes included and I'm more of a ded reckoning steam gauges and VORs kind of person where GA aeroplanes are concerned. But it is a step up from the default ones, and even though Carenado do get slated sometimes, I like quite a few of their P3D aeroplanes, such as their Diamond DA42, Beech 18S and Cessna 337. On this occasion it was initially motivated by 'taking one for the team' so to speak, but I'll be honest, I like it; if anything I too would be inclined to say the engine sounds are slightly on the weedy side for what is supposed to be a fuel injected turbo Lycoming 540, but this might be because I'm using a monitor's audio at the moment rather than my monitoring headphones, so I can't be certain of the EQ'ing etc. But if they are a bit weedy, I presume it will be easy for the user to sort that out with a bit of aliasing to some decent sounds from one of the default aeroplanes. And I might just sit here opening and closing the doors, just because I can. 😄 Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
August 20, 20205 yr Thanks for the review, Alan. Got yourself another YouTube subscriber here. If someone starts a video off with a minute of Spirit of Radio it would be rude not to. 🙂 Now... as the mighty Don Logan once said: "Open the ****ing Door!!!"
August 20, 20205 yr Thanks for the great mini review Alan. Really enjoyed it. Is it more sensitive to elevator input compared to the included C172 in MSFS? August 20, 20205 yr Thanks for the video. I was deciding on getting my 1st payware plane for MFS and since this was the ony one, I decided to get some feedback from others. What I'm particularly interested in are the sound quality, graphics texture quality both interior and exterior and the g1000. IMO it sounds quite bad while in cruise. And its hard to tell how the texture looks compared to the default C172 g1000 in MFS. In a direct comparison to the Carenado 182 vs the MFS C172 G1000, would you say its better in terms of graphics, sounds, g1000, flight physics? I find most of the default planes to be nose happy and even with trim its hard to keep the nose down. G1000 in the Carenado doesn't have synthetic visions and airport diagrams like the default G1000 so that's a bit upsetting. August 20, 20205 yr Hmmm, I'm not the pedantic type, but in the video the sounds are phasing and distorting in external view, which makes me think the sounds are ported over and still using the old FSX sound engine instead of the beautiful new Wwise! I do not own the plane so cannot say if i'm wrong or right! I don't suppose you saw what the sound folder contained @Chock? August 20, 20205 yr Would be interested by a comparison with the A2A bird. Dominique Simming since 1981 - [email protected] GHz with 16 GB of RAM and a 1080 with 8 GB VRAM running a 27" @ 2560*1440 - Windows 10 - Warthog HOTAS - MFG pedals - MSFS Standard version with Steam
August 20, 20205 yr Is that the useless default G1000? I mean... any G1000 is awful in my book. It's so annoying to use in the sim with all those rotating knobs.
