There is NO way we would have ever given the greenlight for this product to be released in the state it's in. I have a laundry list of items that would run pages long and many of them are "blockers". HOWEVER, I can still see the effort and the benefits of the foundation of what's here. A lot of passion went into what we're seeing and that passion and effort tells me that we're likely to see more of the same as this product moves forward. This has more features and depth in a v1 product than nearly any other similar product in it's first version. What other product maps the entire world in 3D and adds a complex simulation on top of it? And I also stand by what I've been saying a lot lately. Not one of us wasn't shocked when they announced it would be out on 8/18. We were all pretty sure it was going to have a hard time making 2020 at all and when they moved away from that name, many thought that meant we wouldn't see it until 2021. So then we do get it on 8/18 and people are upset. I choose to just sit back and wait to see what the next few months bring. I'll reserve full judgment until at least the end of the year. I suspect once we see a few updates, most of the naysayers will fall by the wayside. i7 8700K @4Ghz, EVGA RTX3080 Ultra, 32GB RAM, Two 2K displays. Alpha Yoke, Bravo Throttle Quadrant, CH Pedals.

Adults don't need to be either all hyped-up people with rose-colored glasses or disappointed haters. You can be critical and still like the sim. I have no clue why you're being so touchy. Maybe the internet isn't for you? 😉 We don't need to pretend the sim is perfect. Your own words: "They are now working hard to fix bugs that were reported “recently”? What about all the bugs testers reported months ago? Oh man.." You suggest that Asobo did nothing with "all" the bug reports from months ago. You're in fact not just suggesting it, you draw your conclusion by saying "Oh man." That's not very factual is it? That sounds a bit like whining and whipping up sentiments. Nobody of us know what they did in this time. Maybe they worked very hard and prevented a zillion bugs from being present in the alpha, beta or release? Bugs we never came to see? In Options/Controls under the yoke bindings there are four bindings for magnetos that don't belong there. They are assigned to buttons 31 through 34, but there are no such buttons on the Alpha. Just delete those assignments and, presto, the bugs will move 1 degree. I may be missing something here, but those bindings are for the starter switch mounted on the yoke. I really don't want to lose those. But yeah, I have the same heading bug problem. No fine control.

August 23, 20205 yr Sure hope they can fix the constant crashes after loading 75% and failing as well as the CH yoke/pedals controllers working SAR Pilot. Flight Sim'ing since the beginning.

Heading bug acted the same both times. I did notice that it jumps when you first click on it. If you hold it down the bug will then move correctly. Edited August 23, 20205 yr by JerryT87

We can already see some progress, and have NO idea how much is being done behind the scenes. People noted that the weather code is clearly being changed and the Marketplace is now working when it wasn't on launch day. We didn't get an Update notice. There was nothing to download manually. It all just happened. Did they just fix those two things or a hundred things behind the scenes? I have no idea. I do notice my planes, at least the last two days, haven't had a hard time following a straight line in a flight plan. Is that a by-product of other variables or did they apply a change? What I'm getting at is that we're seeing clear signs of them already improving the product, DAYS after release. That should provide a bit of hope that other major things are going to be addressed. Again, a lot will come down to communication, and they're providing that every week. What's the general feedback about that? "They don't say enough". There's no winning here. When has anyone heard virtually anything from Lockheed about P3D? Weekly? Monthly? Heck, yearly??? Edited August 23, 20205 yr by Agrajag i7 8700K @4Ghz, EVGA RTX3080 Ultra, 32GB RAM, Two 2K displays. When has anyone heard virtually anything from Lockheed about P3D? Weekly? Monthly? Heck, yearly??? FS2020 is a modern game and it's become very common now to have many aspects of the game handled in the cloud so updates and improvements can be released without requiring an update on the client side. Weather & Bing imagery are 2 things that will certainly improve without many updates needed to be pushed down to the clients. The aircraft however I am certain only live client side so would not change unless you were prompted for an update.

Just to be clear, I SUSPECT that the ability of a plane to fly a flight plan is likely not stored in each plane and is part of a core routine that all planes follow. One thing I was curious about is if those who may have bought the Carenado 182 are having the same issues. I generally prefer not to fly the smallest GA props so I wasn't inclined to spend $30 just to find out. My guess is that the 182 simply relies on FS coding to actually fly an assigned route or to even utilize the auto pilot. Thus, that would also be a cloud-based code update. i7 8700K @4Ghz, EVGA RTX3080 Ultra, 32GB RAM, Two 2K displays. Alpha Yoke, Bravo Throttle Quadrant, CH Pedals.
