I took the risk of buying FS2020 regardless that its a first version. The reason is simply to "support" our hobby. And i think we are blessed with the development in flight simming.

One recomendation I will make is....if you can afford it...get G_SYNC! I waited 6 years, but took the jump 6 months ago. The technology is well suited for a demanding flight simulator with fluctuating FPS, and it gives a smoother ride.

Maybe thats why i dont have problems like stutters and stuff...I do have occasional "loading" pauses, but maybe that will be fixed a long the way.

Clear skies and smooth ride 🙂

looking forward to an update on what the update will be when we get the update. 🙂

Edit -

That was a bit of sarcasm bundled in with a bit of hope that the patch will come within a few days of tomorrows dev update. Heres hoping for a Friday patch!?  🙂

Have I missed the infamous update on the update or has my morning coffee not kicked in and it's right in front of my face some place obvious?

Should be posted in the next 6-9 hours, that's when the development updates usually come out.

They don't even recognize weather to be a known issue. I am hoping that today will change it.

According to the community managers in the official forums there are a lot more known issues than what is listed in that tracker, which are the top-priority issues. Still, I wouldn't expect anything beyond those to be fixed in the upcoming patch because there are still people who cannot even play the game, so the installation issues have to be prioritised.

It would make perfect sense that they would focus on any and all install/CTD issues first before focusing on feature repairs.

If the weather/performance and flight model stuff isn't fixed within the next 3 updates or so, I'm going to get really suspicious, personally speaking.

I think by Christmas we'll have a much better idea of where the sim is heading, by then we should have had 2 or 3 sizeable updates.

Right now the jury is still out; I can't even download and install it whilst Microsoft Support very much stuck with COVID advice, thoroughly washing their hands, twice....

There's a known issue thread on their forums, that's what I'm referring to. not the top issue tracker. 😉

I see. The community managers were talking about the performance issues not being included in the Known Issues list, which means they could be referring to that one too (there's a third one on Zendesk as well I believe). Taking into account the issues listed in the Feedback Snapshot, it looks like there is no definitive list so far.

So the 27th update is out and it's just as we anticipated with one big item aside from install crashes and such and that is SimConnect getting fixed. This is HUGE as it's holding back VATSIM, FSUIPC and countless other potential add-ons. I'll take it. Plus getting this in a week is fantastic news and exactly the sort of aggressive approach I was hoping to see from Asobo.

How do i check if i got the update? When i start MSFS, Version 1.7.12 is shown in the top bar.

Ingame, within the content manager - it says that i should restart the game for updates, but...nothing happens when I´m restarting the game.

Is 1.7.12 the latest version?

thx in advance!

There is no update for another week
