October 28, 200619 yr Hi Folks,I'm a satisfied FSX user, it runs pretty good on my computer. I was wondering what you thought of DX9c and if I should install it on my system. What benifits do you find with DX9c? Any problems? Thanks,
October 28, 200619 yr Howard,I am pretty sure that if you're running FSX, then you have DirectX 9.0c installed now. I believe it requires it to run, and installed it when you installed FSX. Ken
October 28, 200619 yr There is a new virsion of DX9c dated Oct 2006.This resulted in a 3-4 fps increase for me. No problems with installing or using.Tom
October 28, 200619 yr FSX should have been written using the OpenGL API; then we would not be wasting time talking about poor frame rates.
