DX9c - opinions please

Featured Replies

Hi Folks,I'm a satisfied FSX user, it runs pretty good on my computer. I was wondering what you thought of DX9c and if I should install it on my system. What benifits do you find with DX9c? Any problems? Thanks,

Howard,I am pretty sure that if you're running FSX, then you have DirectX 9.0c installed now. I believe it requires it to run, and installed it when you installed FSX.

Thanks for the prompt reply Kem, I'll check it on my computer.have a good day,

There is a new virsion of DX9c dated Oct 2006.This resulted in a 3-4 fps increase for me. No problems with installing or using.Tom

FSX should have been written using the OpenGL API; then we would not be wasting time talking about poor frame rates.

Sigh...
