Dear Alone,

We are extremely glad that you took the time to come to the MSFS forum to tell us that you prefer DCS, XP and P3D over MSFS. Very useful to know for us who fly MSFS and love it. But I don't think very reasonable that you came here without a flak jacket.

LOL that's all about MSFS also the title of the thread mention P3D V5 too ("MSFS 2020 or P3D v5") 😉 Like I said, I own MSFS 2020, I even bought payware planes from recognized makers to give it a chance and as far I am concerned I still believe the flight sim model is not as detailed as other flight sims atm.

The 'yesterday sims' currently have many of the finest aircraft available in any flight sim.

And my old 8track and cassette tapes have some of the best music ever written on them. Eventually they showed up on newer formats 😜

MSFS is the newer format but they aren't there yet 🙂

External Storage Three 4Tb HDs

Once abundance of add ons arrive to satisfy different needs of users MSFS will be far ahead of many competitors . We just need to give it some time .

If we go back in time and  remember first few years after XP, FSX or P3D were just released ! That where MSFS is now

Every time Bob talks negative about XP11 he proclaims to the AVSIM world what a fool believes.

Both XP 11 and even P3D 5.3, look terrible though outside custom airports, especially close to the ground, even when using the best add-ons.  Outside custom airports, the ground scenery at low altitude  looks like something from the 2000s, not the 2020s. It looks so bad that it breaks the immersion, especially for low altitude flying (ie. flying helicopters).

The kicker is that you have to spend hundreds of dollars, and buy an extra hard drive to store the ortho, and XP 11 and P3D 5.3 still look so much worse than MSFS which costs $60.

XP 12 is starting to look modern, at least a flight sim you would visually expect within the last decade, but still lags behind MSFS.

Bobsk8 is entirely right.

Hard to convince the XP fan boys of anything.

Objectively, XP 11 looks like hot garbage if you are flying close to the ground, and it’s not a custom airport.  The only people that aren’t objective (ie. XP 11 fanatics) actually thinks it looks good.

The majority of your pictures were low light situations, or at night.  But the pictures you had where there was sufficient light and it was close enough to the ground, XP 11 looks really bad,

XP 12 may change that, but let’s see when it’s released.

MSFS doesn’t have proper flight modeling for helicopters yet.  But when it does have proper flight modeling for helicopters, MSFS will be a helicopter pilot’s wet dream.  You can fly low to the ground in MSFS and the scenery and graphics look great, for helicopter flying in MSFS.

Please don't make me quote all your negative posts about XP. You are as negative as everyone else. MSFS is your balance.

Why don't you go to the forum where you most likely feel comfortable, the XP forum, and see if you can find any posts where I am knocking XP like you do to MSFS on this forum?

How does MSFS PG look? How do some of the buildings look? How do the trees look? Post some pics up close.

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.
