August 28, 20205 yr Here it is: https://www.msfsaddons.org/freeware/plugin-vfrmap It links to the sim via SimConnect and displays your aircraft on a moving map. I've installed it, and it's great. You can see VFRMap in action here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BKVW5sElGVM&t=109s
August 29, 20205 yr I can't get this to work. The map loads, but static/no flight data in the UK (I'm flying in the US). The instructions say to click "load map" in lower left corner - there is no such option, only a few credits to the contributors. Appreciate any suggestions. Update: Decided to the try the previous version (0.5) and of course, it works like a charm. 🙂 Edited August 29, 20205 yr by Torsten
August 29, 20205 yr Hi, Does this work on an Android tablet or just on the MSFS PC? Thanks. August 29, 20205 yr The program itself runs on the PC. But it acts as a web server, so you can view the map on any device on the same network as the PC (including the PC itself).
August 29, 20205 yr Sounds interesting. How is this different from the default moving map display that you can call up during flight from the toolbar?

August 29, 20205 yr Got it to work on the table using the PC IP instead of localhost. Great! The map is an actual road map, like google maps. In fact an earlier version used google maps, but now seems to use something similar, not sure why it changed.
August 29, 20205 yr I like it but had to close it because it causes stutters. Hope they can fix it. August 29, 20205 yr This app is working good here. It doesn't kill the frame rate when I put it on a second monitor (Lose around 20 fps.) like the built in map does. 👍 Bill Edit: In the upper right corner it is shown to be using Open Street Map and you can select navigation data. August 30, 20205 yr Got VFRMap to work but I have two questions. 1) The map displays full screen. How can I resize it to fit into the FS2020 window? 2) The aircraft on the map does not move, even though in FS I have departed and on climb?
August 30, 20205 yr I preferred if it worked with google maps instead of openstreet, oh well, you can't say no to free. R5 3600 - GTX 1070OC - 32GB 3200 - NVME - 3440x1440 160Hz - VR(Quest 2) GarbagePoster™
