Just downloaded the liveries pack for the TBM 930. Dropped the folder as per instructions into the community folder. Started MSFS 2020 and, bam, every single livery was there. No fiddling with folders, adding this or that.

Another great step forward-

Just like a modern game/sim should be.  I love that too

There will be tons of junk in this folder soon! 😁

And that's the great thing about it, easy to remove the stuff as well!

The megapack repaints of the 747 are a case in point, I just cannot live with mirrored textures. Easy to install, just as easy to throw away.

It's definitely the way to go! Somewhat similar to X-Plane minus having to drop stuff in other directories 😄 (so far so good!)

You can even rename all addon folders as you see fit and it will work!

Does anybody know if it is possible to have subfolders there also.

So that I could make folders like Airports --> Europe --> LOWW scenery as example?

To keep things a bit more organised

thx

It would be nice for Lorby to make a new organizer

Yep it's very easy but the 172 G1000 livery's are as subtle as a 52 tank.

You forget where the default install location is.  Nothing modern about that.  Apple tried this.  Didnt work out for them either.

That's not an issue for me.

Made a folder called "MSFS2020" and I had no issues remembering where that was...

Back on topic: Yup absolutely love this.  No more issues with random gauges and DLL's strewn all over the place hopefully.  Just a nice simple drop the folder in boom there is your add-on.  Hopefully as more complex add-ons arrive this is still the way of doing it but I guess we have to see how the SDK develops.

That didn't work when I tried it. The content inside the subfolder was not recognized anymore.

But you can rename the folders so you can at least keep it organized by the alphabetical order.

You can add shortcut to external folder with add-on. Working.
