Orbx True Earth Florida

Only 20% off. So much for the cross platform discount. I'll pass.

I wouldn't....this title just gave me the reason to both hit the MSFS AND...the P3D v5 'get me there' button.  Just bought it...as I love Florida..and visit my sister and bro-in-law all the time in Punta Gorda.   This title rocks!  Florida looks gorgeous..and the water masks...are top notch.  So...for Florida...both P3D and MSFS will do....but Orbx did a great job on this TrueEarth title...and in my books, worth the asking, Jose.

Other than Florida what's the point of this scenery if no Seasons?

Can't imagine flying to a TE winter region that should have dead foliage and snow only to see summer Terrain...  (I.E. NY to Denver in January)!

You don't see seasons in Florida..except for the color of the Winter Grass...and this title is a knock-out...they did a great  job of the entire State, and if you are an Amphib guy as I am...this State is a treasure chest of coves, inlets...and all a different P3D color mask pallet hue...a great job, Orbx! This has me now going to use both P3D alongside MSFS!

P3D v5's nVidia WaterWorks 2.0 Engine looks great with this in play...

I bought this today, my first TE product. What a pleasant surprise! TrueEarth & Truesky is a winner. Super immersion.

I had previously heard of all the bad frame rates with TE. I was basically stutter free. 45fps at 10k and 35fps at 2k feet and this is

with a cheap $170 rx580 graphics card. Absolutely awesome in P3dV5.

I found it odd that someone who complain about seasons when in FL it pretty much rains all year. Thanks to the common fires you wil also see some brown patches and lots of lakes. None frozen.

Post some pics, please. I saw hardly nothing in the FTX forum.

Did they really update 500 airports? It would be a shame if I were to buy it and not see Pilot's Country in the scenery.

I'll be doing some testing soon on it.  Load time is definitely longer.  But I can accept that.  Typically I set up before my flight anyway.  So it's not like I'm making many changes once loaded up.

5800X3D, 4090FE, 64GB DDR4 3600C16, Gigabyte X570S MB, EVO 970 M.2's, Alienware 3821DW  and 2  22" monitors, Corsair RM1000x PSU,  360MM MSI MEG, MFG Crosswind, T16000M Stick, Boeing TCA Yoke/Throttle, Skalarki MCDU and FCU, Logitech Radio Panel/Switch Panel, Spad.Next

As for as loading times i think MSFS will suffer the same when addons get piled on, which will put off gamers.

So far it doesn't look like it as far as airports. Added some payware and it did not affect loading times. Payware aircraft could be a different story.

Is there a way to keep TE from messing with some of my payware airports?  I've just started looking around.  But I use Aerosoft Daytona Beach and FT TPA.  Many others.  But on these two I notice that TE is over-riding the airport a tad.  In Tampa the runway lines are blurred because the FT and TE are competing.  Is it as simple as just moving the payware to a higher scenery layer?

You always want the addon airports above scenery.

Make sure that all payware airports are above TE FL in the scenery library as Nyxx stated and disable all .bgls in TE FL folders that pertain to your payware.

Sometimes compatibility fixes are posted in the the FTX compatibility forum.

I made videos from ORBX TE Florida in V5 and from MSFS vanilla. MSFS is 4K, P3D is HD (downsampled from 4K). It's maybe not a fair comparison, it's just videos from how I play the 2 sims.
