Thanks for making my point so succinctly

I guess it also shows Microsoft is the same Microsoft it was when FSX released. Some things never change.

Kind regards,

This isn't a flight sim thing, it isn't even a Microsoft thing. While I know most here stick mainly to flight sims. This same exact dialog and abrasive behavior happens in literally every mainstream game released. Whether 3rd person shooter, rpg, etc etc. There is always the eternal battle between "omg not optimized and buggy" vs "works fine for me, get good n00b".

Just let it roll over and move on. It's never going to stop

I don`t know what your point is. Performance issues is not the biggest topic in FS, as it has been solely posted in your linked topic. FS2020 has instability, CTD, wrong physics, random physics values, inoperative planes, stall speeds and acceleration wrong compared to reality, updates that produce new errors and even more points that don`t exist at the moment.

Cleaning up the mess might take some years, it`s not that it cannot be done. Best would be if the developers focused on the SDK, to let the real ones do their job, on the other hand I don`t care.

But if someone is saying something negative about the sim, like the current thread "Glad I didn`t bought it", people start coming after them like mass of Sumo Wrestlers.

I have searched for topics concerning errors and issues when X-Plane 11 was released. It is continously stated in the AvSim FS forum that all sims were broken at the start. I searched on that, but couldn`t  really find anything.

More this happens in every fandom everywhere people are fans of whatever got them in and the mostly devoted fans tend to be quite vocal of anything that does not match their original idea of perfection.

We will know for sure whether Microsoft have changed or not depending on the state of the simulator in a few years from now. If they abandon it after two major patches or shut down most of the live services within the first year, then they won't have changed at all indeed.

Wow!  I'm in that thread, fourth post down.  I had an AMD 3700+ system then in my signature (!)

You're right, things haven't changed have they. ha ha.  Except now I probably would not have posted in that thread.

Nope, not much has changed.

We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically.

I know personally I love flight sims and so as a fan of the game I want to see its success.  Right now when the sim is working, it is great fun and looks fantastic in many ways.....but since it isn't completely finished yet and still crashes for some, it does need improvement.

Kind regards,

Tim

It isn’t just a game thing.  This is how people are about everything now.  An increasingly smaller and smaller population of people who can deal with the world in an adult manner, and increasingly larger hordes of whiny narcissistic little word not allowed.

the ideal thing for your own sanity is to let it roll over and move along, but I’m less and less sure that that is the best approach for the good of society.
