October 1, 20205 yr The things I like about this new sim, I REALLY like. Bugs, bad scenery (Bing is hit or miss), and unfinished features are surely frustrating, but all in all this sim is an amazing achievement. I have no regrets buying it.

Other then occasionally testing beta addons, I haven't run P3d5 since MSFS was released. And I uninstalled XP11 altogether. Asobo did a great job getting the sim out the door but maybe MS should consider a different shop to maintain MSFS. I hear that their newly-acquired folks at Bethesda are looking for a challenge. Who needs helicopters when you have dragons?

Having played their games for 30 years, I can tell you that, while Bethesda make some mind blowing stuff on occasion, fixing bugs is not one of their strong points.

Who needs helicopters when you have dragons? Likewise, did you watch the Q&A ? it's on youtube. I thought it was great to hear what they said. They make mistakes and are adding back beta testers. It's well worth a watch J. David Murden. Who needs helicopters when you have dragons? Being a big fan of the Bethsedsa games I think we would end up with more issues and less fixes. Also we would get airplane DLC "Winglets added to plane for just $9.99"
October 1, 20205 yr I guess my Bethesda statement was not detected by the sarcasm meter. I used to be a comedian like you, until I took an arrow in the knee.
October 1, 20205 yr "Similar experience here ie. flight planning works for me.I have only flown the TBM 930 in the sim. The autopilot works extremely well and follows a manually entered flight plan. Flight plans entered into the “G3000” in the TBM match and follow the flight plans entered into my real world ForeFlight App with a high level of accuracy. " I guess we are flying different TBM 930?. Yesterday I was flying KSBA to KSAN in the TBM with a flight plan created by the sim using the Baret 5 Arr (STAR) and RNAV (GPS) Y Rwy 27 approach. The AP made the turn from MOMAR to SALTN with CARUL as the next fix prior to BARET. The flight plan shown in the MFD (both text list and magenta lines on the map) was exactly as shown in the Jeppesen charts displayed in the Navigraph window. I fully expected a normal approach to continue. At SALTN, where I expected a turn to CARUL the (?? software, autopilot, flight planning, or who knows what) inserted FOUR NEW legs into the flight plan. SALTN -> KUMBA then KUMBA->BARET then BARET-> KUMBA and finally KUMBA->BARET KUMBA is on the arrival from the east while SALTN is on the arrival from the north. And the plane tried to fly ALL those legs. I finally quit after the BARET -> KUMBA turn, at which point I was 40 NM from the airport and headed directly away from it for the second time. Maybe I don't understand arrivals and approaches but the flight plan sure looked like what the charts described. Hi TacomaSailor, I will try and replicate your flight plan when I return home next week. A quick look at the ForeFlight Baret5.27 (with no transition to RWY 27) shows different waypoints (just 3 waypoints) from what you listed. I will PM you. I basically lived inside that game for a few months and then continued to play regularly for years, well after I had beaten every quest in the game. it was glorious and moved its genre forward and was one of the best gaming experiences of my life. In a purely objective sense however, it was also an extremely sloppy pile of bugs, like many other ambitious titles can be (and not the first from that company). Software can be buggy and wonderful all at the same time, and I prefer the full on attempts at glory to the safe, solid and uninspired. Edited October 2, 20205 yr by ShawnG spelling

In my company we get our tasks from the 'business' (are you one of them?). They decide which bugs to fix, if any, what features to develop next, what documentation is to be produced and how much QA is to be performed. Most issues are market-driven. Existing customers have a lower priority than new 'prospects'. And of course these people have no idea how a computer or a program works.
