Carenado PA44 Seminole preview

Inbound, From their FB page today. I really hope they model feathered props with this. Seems pointless otherwise.

I saw that there is a GNS530 mod on the MSFS forums that works with these Carenado birds and really improves the GPS unit a lot.

I'm tied up flying around the world right now, but it's getting hard to resist trying one of these with the nice panels...

It does fix some things... but there is still a long way to go...

Buyer beware.. 😉

I don't want to promise things that can't be delivered, but a couple of the Working Title guys are making impressive progress on a replacement flight plan manager that could help solve a lot of the sadness that lingers around all these devices, since everything from the GNS430 to the glass on the A320 interacts with the same fundamentally broken back-end code.   It's still early days yet with a lot to do, and it may not pan out in the end, but I'm pretty excited.   If we do make progress on it, I'll definitely be pushing for us to make it a self-standing library which can be used by anyone so things like this 530 mod can benefit even if it's not a Working Title project;  they'd just need a developer who can interact with it.

But I've probably said too much...  😂

That just makes a ton of sense to me..

A flight plan is not really that complex a concept.. but the built in flight plan manager is indeed whoefully inadequate.   If you load or activate an approach, the flight plan is amended.. but you would never know this by looking at the flight plan page..

I really hope you guys succeed, because as you say, all the avionics depend on an underlying layer of a dynamically managed flight plan.

Oooh! Analog gauges ... I am going to get this one. I got my Multi Engine ratings in the Seminole. 🙂

Very pretty!  I have both Carenado aircraft for MSFS so far.  Not sure if I'll get this one I don't like the way the engines block the view in twins.

I will wait for this one :

It has great view. This video I made about 10 years ago out of several flights

Anyone heard from Reality XP? Are they doing anything for MSFS2020?

It would be nice to get their GNS530 and 430 etc. Their Avionics are awesome.  It would go well with this Seminole.

Only this from A2A Simulations Inc:

"Because Microsoft Flight Simulator and the Accu-Sim v4 tools are still in development, it’s too early for us to know with any certainty how long it will take to complete this first project.

However once the Aerostar 600 is released, it will represent the first airplane created with the new Accu-Sim v4 toolset, so successive aircraft developed will take less time to reach the same level of quality.

Can’t wait for this one as I adore my Mooney (have the 182 also but love steam gauges) - day 1 purchase.

I love the customizable registrations on these.

I sure hope we can get the Aerocommander or Turbocommander soon.

And that A2A release will be fun too...and hopefully a precursor to my much-missed Comanche.

I have got to go along with this aspect of MSFS. It is brilliant.

I wonder just how hard that was to configure into the default sim, and whether or not, it is possible to do this with the "other" sims without going the Painters route? Is it. or could it be, possible to do through the aircraft.cfg files or some other means.

I normally reconfigure the aircraft ID etc through the .cfg but it never shows up on the aircraft fuselage (understandable) and this, to me, is not very realistic. Using a VG or VH registration and callsign for aircraft flying in Australia, with (mostly) American identification adorning the aircraft flanks is not the greatest aspect of P3D or Xplane.

Any ideas on this??
