So if I sign up this month and cancel, I get to keep all those charts, etc on my local machine to use whenever I want?

I am already subscribed for database and the charts. On the last update, I went through to add MSFS to my list and it is not available.

From the conversation above, I am assuming that you have to become a beta tester in order to download into MSFS. Is this correct?

No, you just have to got the the Beta forum for the download link for the beta MSFS Navigraph loader. Your NAVIGRAPH login gives you access to ALL the forums.  I took out a month's subscription an hour ago and then downloaded the beta MSFS loader. All worked perfectly. Very happy but will prob just pay a month a year as am not obsessed with the very latest data. Like a lot how you can see all the STARS and SIDS in one go in Navigraph charts which makes it so much easier to pick the right one in MSFS.

CJ,

Thanks mate,

I shall visit Navigraph forums with reckless abandon and great alacrity.  Never been there before mainly because I have had no problems whatsover with Navigraph and I particularly love the Charts and its moving map feature which I bring up on a second screen and it is so much better than the default VFR map.

Thanks again.

I reckon that if you have a subscription for 1 month only, the (then outdated) navdata will be always available but the charts no - they will be available during the subscription month only.

Can anyone please confirm?

I use the IOS app on an Ipad, really cool to see the plane moving even on the SID and STAR charts. What i don't understand is why the A320 FMS is still showing an older Database from 07/20 on the init page?

It's correct. Charts are accessible only during the subscription period, while navdata is installed locally on your pc.

i9-11900K (5.3 GHz), 64 GB RAM (DDR4 3600), RTX 3070, 1 TB (M.2 SSD). Windows 10 Pro. Installed Sims: MSFS 2020.

If you sign up for 1 month and cancel, will you still get all those features? such as be able to use the ipad app, navigraph charts app on PC, etc? Moving maps, having your plane show up on the charts, etc. I'm confused by this. I would like access to all the jeppesen charts of the world.

Looking at the detail in MSFS the new navdata is stored in the Community folder just like other mods and is about 65meg.

Will see how much I use it over the next month to see if it is worth subscribing for the charts. It was worht it for one month sub to fill in the gaps in MSFS nav data and have a play with the Navigraph system. I can confirm that nothing is installed datawise apart from the MSFS navdata. That is the beyond the Navigraph charts program itself the charts are not stored locally.

Hi,

you will only have access to the charts, maps and apps for the length of your subscription, so if you take a monthly subscription and cancel after the month then you will no longer be able to use them.

@captain420 FMS Manager / MSFS / Charts - access resp. update only for the signed period. All apps are connecting with the navigraph-server to check your subscription. Normal cycle is 28 days, except MSFS for the time due to BETA.

With the new Charts App you can only print out the procedure, the charts are saved temporary. With the former app you could download all procedures.

Compared to others - I mean, the Ultimate subscription for 1 year what I have since years, is a fair offer from Navigraph.

It also depends on your needs. I use X-Plane and MSFS, very often with VATSIM or IVAO and with Navigraph I am always up to date.

If you use MSFS only - the big question mark is Blue Nav. Will they deliver and update regular the database? How often? For nothing? Can you check restrictions eg. in SID/STAR?

Best regards

The dates shown in the A320 and 747 FMS are hard-coded into the display. It is not related to the actual AIRAC cycle installed in the simulator. I assume this was intended as a placeholder, and Asobo has not yet gotten around to changing it to show the actual date of the installed nav data.

The dates shown (May 4th to July 4th) are not a valid AIRAC cycle in any case, because a cycle is only 28 days long.

Does it update RNAV approaches so that the vertical guidance (glideslope indicator) works correctly?  In the standard MSFS database, the glideslope indicator is pegged at the bottom of the gauge..

No it does not.  Just bought a month subscription and can confirm that missing approaches now show up in the database.  But flying them, and the others, still keeps the vpath indicator pegged at the bottom until you descend through what seems to be the missed approach point altitide.
