This is the link to MSFS Bushpilot discord. We do regular flight events every saturday at 06.00 GMT and 18.00 GMT.  Me and a friend are also hosting a South American bushtrip there that happens every tuesday at 1830 GMT that will continue until we reach Cape Horn probably in March or April next year. Usually a good turn out on these (anywhere from 7-20).

Check the channel #Tour-Events  and #Tour-Event-Chat for the South America bushtrip. Check the rest of the channels for other infos - in particular the general chat for most up to date chit-chat 🙂

To truly be modern the game will of course need some way of communication in game that doesn't rely on 3rd parties. A text chat is a place to start.

I find it a bit mad that it doesnt even have a text chat.

Typical cat - responds to you one minute, doesn't want to know you the next!😄

One of the things that the old Microsoft Flight  did reallly good was communications just tune your radios to the same frequency asign a key for the mic and just like in real life we could talk to each other. Hope MS2020 can have this at one point

That sounds like a wonderful idea!

That would indeed very cool. Cannot remember that Flight had that feature. Possibly never used it since Hawaii is not sooo big in the end and you were always able to at least find someone pretty easily. But for MSFS definitely something they should consider. Though they should then restrict radio coverage to some 100 nm or so else you hear too much global chatter

It would be cool if you could tune the radio to UNICOM (for example 122.800)  and talk to each other, at least if you were within range.

Oh and something thats gonna be a problem in the long term is, when a lot of addon aircraft will be available, the game is still going to have to display default aircraft to other players. Wich is not really immersive. Tonight a guy had the new Italian fighter jets but was displayed as a citation....

discord is what most people use these days for communication, video & audio chats, streaming... but a built-in unicom radio into the game itself would be awesome.

I'm still (hardly ever now) using facebook. I haven't 'progressed' to these new-fangled Ding Dongs and Disco apps!
