From the author: Update 1.9 fixes the CTD issue. The reason for the CTD was a file that turned off car traffic to Locher. Now I have deleted this file. This worked in previous versions of the simulator, but after 1.10.7 it crashes for some reason. ASOBO often breaks down what works well. Therefore, flying car traffic will have to be disabled in the settings if it interferes. Enabling or disabling traffic in the simulator settings does not affect the crash.

I think that others have brought this up. It's a shame because it a gem of an airport.

I just read this:

"ASOBO has made changes to the latest version of the MFS. Locher Airport has stopped working correctly for some users. Please wait while I figure it out and make corrections."

 

Airport has been updated again to 1.9.1. Did some tests and it works.

Yesterday I flew arounf, no CTD. and today CTD galore.

Just ehen Iam on short final ILS about to take over from AP to land at following airports (KLAX from KSFO . No add on airports)

26R KORD FSDT on short final ILS

26L KMIA LVFR addon  from KMCO on short final ILS

KSEA no addon (I've been having this CTD for the beginning on short final... 

I get a sound interruption like Radio -crackle. Stutter and then clean out

One time I got this at KORD

some skins can cause this behaviour too, remove all addons and try again, thats the only to make sure its the sim and not

some addon.

Hmmm.. You are onto something. I removed all my addon liveries and managed to land the ILS27L at KORD (FSDT). That also explains why I didn't have CTDs 2 days ago and ended up with CTDs yesterday since I added a whole bunch of Add on liveries.

Now, let me add back all my sceneries and test it to make sure all the add on sceneries are good and then maybe add the must have liveries for A320 and test it one by one.

Yeah this is the preferred trouble shooting method but I have to ask....do we do this everytime a new patch comes out?  It's going to be too time consuming to slowly add in each addon and test.  I had very few CTD's before this last hotfix.  I also had very few crashes during alpha.  But this latest hotfix gives me CONSTANT CTD's.  I'll have almost one per session of simming.

I had one similar to Manny's example last night - flying KLGB to KSMX, but having LAX VOR in my flight plan....nearing KLAX is where I CTD..... UUUUGGHHH!

It is possible that an addon is crashing but I doubt it since my addons have been fine before latest hotfix.  They need to enable some sort of log similar to how XP11 does it.  Maybe there's one in dev mode I don't know about.

Speak of the devil.  I just loaded my CJ4 into KLGB again this morning to check something and CTD during the loading screen......sigh  Back to COD until they fix this word not allowed.

I think the best solution is to start using an Addon Manager. I can't find the topic anymore, but there was a thread about it. 
Should be just clicking on and off addons in the manager to test.

I am using that and even then not all their liveries are kocher. I just found their AAL (American airlines) for A320 Neo does not work without CTD. Try flying out of KFLL (Lauderdale to KMIA Miami) IFR on the AA livery A320 Neo.

this is a tedious affair, we have to add and check each livery. My suggestion is to add just the most wanted livery for the aircrafts that you fly the most. Don't be me and get greedy and get all the liveries. 🙂

It's a Joy to fly MSFS when no CTD, Otherwise CTD is exhausting and frustrating to debug what the offender is. So far, sceneries have been ok for me. It's the liveries that is offending.

I agree 100%. However, I think these things will get better when the sim is getting more mature. Right now it's the Wild West with updates and patches and new addons. We need some order!

Must be really lucky have not had a single CTD using older rig with older card running mostly high to med settings @ 30fps with stutters/lags in metro areas. Had to turn photogammetry off however.

your logic is wrong, they were fine before last update, does not mean they are fine now.

empty the community folder and i bet it will run.

i use addons very sparingly so far, have not had many issues at all.

its the addon creators that have to update their stuff, thats hows it goes also in other programs, like ets2.

Addons are going to be nothing but trouble over the next year or more while the sim is getting updated. If you use them them fine but just plan on constantly debugging crashes.

The addons are what MAKES the sim.  Period.  And yes, they were working prior to last major update.  Asobo changed something and broke them.
