November 6, 20205 yr I bought MSFS2020 when it came out knowing my system was not up to it. I have just persuaded my better half to let me upgrade. Yesterday my new PC arrived with an i7 processor with 16Gb with hyper threading and an nVidia 3080 graphics card. The first thing I noticed after installing and starting was getting the message “your system does not meet the minimum specification.....’ Why would this happen? Does MS hold information about my previous instal on my old PC? Once up and running I was very disappointed to see that my FPS resolutely stayed at 10 FPS. I tried lowering many graphics settings down but it still seems almost locked at 10 FPS. The information in FPS pop up seems to show that performance is being slowed by the CPU yet below that it shows only 8220/16210 mb is being used by CPU and 1940/7444 mb of the GPU. I would be very grateful for advice on how to improve the FPS. Paul
November 6, 20205 yr 7gb on a 3090? Sounds likes its using the on board intel graphics and not nvidia. 9950X3D, PNY 5090, 64GB DDR5 6000, MSI X870-P, GIGABYTE AORUS Gen5 2TB NVMe, 3440x1440 AW3423DW gsync ultimate.

November 6, 20205 yr Your system should run FS2020 very well. Are you using a fresh install of Windows? Or did you move your old harddrive into the new PC? Do a fresh install of Nvidia drivers. And make sure your monitor cable is inserted into the graphics card and not the HDMI out on the motherboard. Make sure your RAM sticks are in the right slots. They should be in every other slot. 1010 not 0011. Which exact slots depend on the motherboard. Is your CPU cooler installed properly so that the CPU doesn't overheat? My pc is only has msfs and Photoshop and I use the Nvidia ge performance overlay for the info

I don't use GE overlay but I bet it shows the same as Afterburner, not the sim usage but total PC usage, including 3 or 4 GB just for Windows. November 6, 20205 yr The 16 GB RAM most likely are not the culprit here. Could be more but won't be a big problem.

Also, I have had a bizzare issue where I have plugged directly into my GPU yet for what ever reason, the Gforce control panel was utlilising the onboard card info-I have no idea why or how thats possible. So, check that too. I personaly ended up disabling the onboard display via the BIOS
