November 11, 20205 yr Hi everyone.😀 How many is waiting for HF1? I was under the impression it was just around the corner I am still on 5.0HF2 . Stil only using v5 with FSL/PMDG/MaddogX/Majestic/ASP3D/Chaseplane Thanks Michael Moe Michael Moe
November 11, 20205 yr give it some time. There were some bugs in the public release 5.1 and I am sure LM wants to fix all of them with HF1 😉

Stil only using v5 with FSL/PMDG/MaddogX/Majestic/ASP3D/Chaseplane Thanks Michael Moe O yes....I am also STILL waiting and waiting and waiting....and so not patient! 😉 I really hope a lot of visual enhancements with HF1.....as 5.1 still has so many visual glitches. I am on 5.1....but HF1 is MORE than welcome. I do appreciate it that LM did make such big changes with DX12, truesky, nvidia waveworks, etc. But NONE of this was implement well in the first 5.0 and 5.1 release! We are talking about 7 months after initial Release with 5.0 back in April. That is a long time for those who paid back in april for a product which is 7 months afterwards still full of visual "failures". To add something positiv: 5.1 is very stable at my end. Not 1 single CTD now (after SODE workaround) and I did use the sim 5 days in a row the whole day flying! FSLabs 320 and 321.....that at least is great as stability is always my priority! November 11, 20205 yr I am afraid it is going to take a while since they not really fixed a lot..... hope they get it right this time because developers seem to be plugging out of p3d and plugging in to fs2020.....
November 11, 20205 yr Being a rather large and consistent "complainer" of V5.0 because of it's instability (on my system, at least), and stutter-fest flights, I would like to give my $.02 on V5.1. I really am enjoying 5.1. It is very stable on my computer, and I've had nothing but smooth, wonderful and complete flights. THAT never happened for me in 5.0. Whatever LM did to make this version run so smoothly for me....I'll probably never know, but I'm really grateful. I turn to this sim much more than I thought I would after MSFS was introduced. I thought I'd be exclusively flying MSFS, but I was wrong. I still love the features of P3d more than ever. I hope if the Hotfix does come along, that it only makes things better, because I'm quite happy with it right now. Stan
November 11, 20205 yr 5.1 is good. No CTD's here, and I can open the GSX window without crashing half the time. Still, LM wiffed on some significant items--like 2D clouds flashing, an issue which was pointed out to them months ago. Keep your expectations low for HF1. Can they accomplish anything of significance in 2-3 weeks that they couldn't in the 5 months we've waited for 5.1? We'll see...
November 11, 20205 yr When v5 was released, HF1 came after 16 days, HF2 after another 54 days. Today we are on day 14 since v5.1 came out. So be realistic, they still have two days until they reach their fastest Hotfix. I rather expect them to do it better this time and take about 30 to 60 days. That means about 28th of December in worst case. When I thought about time for fixes, I wondered how many people are working for P3D. LM is a huge company, but not for P3D only. I´m pretty sure, they have not the same manpower like Asobo. Maybe someone from LM could answer this here, just because it is interesting for us users. Regards Dan Rob Ainscough mentioned a week ago in one of his posts they are round about 12 core devs....(if I recall correctly, but I am pretty sure). I saw this and thought....well....not THAT much...but also not so small either. Marcus Edited November 11, 20205 yr by mpo910 Regards, Marcus P.

November 12, 20205 yr Based upon developments, no.. I do still think they are playing a "dangerous" game, yes i understand that they use this sim for own training programs but they should be bothered if nobody buys it anymore and no add ons are being developed. It will cause problems. Good thing ms2020 is having issues as well, i can not use it for my sim so i am depended upon p3d ......
November 12, 20205 yr I'm also quite excited for the v5.1 HF1, I hope it is coming out soon. PC specs: i5-12400F, RTX 3070 Ti and 32 GB of RAM. Simulators I'm using: X-Plane 12, Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020) and FlightGear.

They are only after the big bucks. They don't care about small fry, no matter what line simbol has been sold. The fact that they don't bother wasting resources on issues that pertain to simmers such as activesky, fsl, coastline issues, fullscreen issues etc etc is evidence of this. It baffles me as to how people can't see this glaring observation and people suddenly think it's going to change, it's not. You asked for a sim, you got ms2020. There you are. LMs bread and butter is not gamers or simmers. Its bigger fry. You be deluded to think otherwise. Edited November 12, 20205 yr by fluffyflops
