November 15, 20205 yr Well someone(I might) needs to start a voting thread on the MSFS forum and start spamming the hell out of it.... It's been a gripe of mine since release and the main reason i bought the premium edition. Surely Asobo can unlock the key files so the community modders can get stuck into this. But at least the press start button is gone. that's way more important! Edited November 15, 20205 yr by RW1

Changing a CFG file isn't that hard I think it's a little more complicated than that. My biggest beef with the Longitude is the rolling back and forth at altitude. It used to pitch up and down at altitude. They fixed that, and now it does the twist any time you climb to a normal cruise alt. Ryzen 7 7800X3D/B650 X AX | 5090 | 32gig | Win10 | Pimax Crystal Light

The Longitude is probably a trickier issue. I don't believe it'll ever get fixed, so I'm waiting for Carenado to port their biz jets to MSFS. Until then, I'm using the CJ4, the TBM 930, and the DA 62.
November 16, 20205 yr I would not expect any high fidelity mods to the Longitude soon. Unfortunately, the files are locked in DRM and so the only changes possible are the parts that overlap with existing aircraft, which are somewhat limited. Additionally, documentation on both the G5000 and the Longitude are very difficult to come by and we don't personally have any contacts who fly one. So, unfortunately, without official support, it's going to be difficult to impossible to do.

Although I think I read a post at the main FS forums about a guy taking the CJ4 cfgs, editing that to reflect C700 data (based on AFM/POH I guess), and attempting to mod it that way. I haven't heard much else. A tiny part of me wonders if its locked for a legal reason...like Textron doesn't want users messing with their plane.... but I think its more of a DLC kinda issue. It lacks a virtual cabin, Has no HGS, and flies like a brick, And yet they are happy promoting it as premium content, Need to get a thread going and get it upvoted to action, just like the remove start button which was a complete joke. Your team is in contact with Asobo, Maybe a deal could be struck where you guys get access to the core files. It's a beautiful external model as is most of the aircraft, Such a waste, or maybe it could be a licensing thing with Textron. Anyway i will think about constructing a thread over at the forum. Need to get a good case going.

It's soooo gorgeous - it's basically the perfect bizjet - and then the AP goes into ROL mode and blows past my waypoint in the FPL.... 😒 And then it bounces all over at cruise.... And the ITT redlines under normal takeoff power.... Hey Ryan, how often is it doing the things you mention? I just last night, after a 100h in the TBM, decided to try one of the bizjets. After finagling with getting the cameras setup took a maiden flight of only about 50m just to see how it flew. All was fine, it followed my departure path and did not overshoot the departure fixes, and seemed okay at cruise. My problem w/ these other planes is they're all so similar due to the avionics it's kind of like flying the same plane w/ a different body, different sounds, etc, so not real compelling to leave the TBM which I really enjoy. I look forward to Majestic's Dash 8 and PMDG NGXu, some day... November 16, 20205 yr Author Oh maybe 60% of the time it blows past a waypoint. I flew it again last night and even with a 70 kt direct xwind at FL310 it was not bouncing too much. Then I had a CTD. I had quite a few actually. So I quit flying for the night. Who knows...could be my PC, my sim addons, Asobo's programming, anything. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |

No it doesn't, but in initial testing (admittedly all of 3 minutes because I haven't had time to do more) it seems to hold headings on AP much better than stock. I slewed up to FL400 and got it flying straight and level, then did a hdg hold. It rocked a little bit, but not much, and there was an 80kt xwind. Then I had to quit to go do real life stuff, so I haven't tested more yet, but stock that thing would've been rocking 10-15 degrees to each side no matter what the wind was doing. So, here's where it does go (assuming MS store install) [WIN DRIVE]:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Official\OneStore\asobo-aircraft-longitude\SimObjects\Airplanes\Asobo_Longitude Edited November 16, 20205 yr by eslader Ryzen 7 7800X3D/B650 X AX | 5090 | 32gig | Win10 | Pimax Crystal Light
